My first character is David Webb. David was in the Vietnam War and was the kind of person who is strong and belligerent. It was until the government kidnapped his wife, Marie, in an attempt to manipulate him into working with them. David had a persona by the name of Jason Bourne. Jason Bourne is a killer and has murdered several people. David is trying to forget about his persona but he keeps talking to him in flashbacks. After his wife was kidnaped he thought “My Love, my only love – Don’t think that way. Jason Bourne spoke: she is a valuable possession taken from you! Get her back. David Webb spoke: No, not a possession, my life!” (Ludlum 75). This quote shows how David and Jason talk back and forth in his head. In the song, Hello, I feel like it really fits in with David’s personality. In this part from the song, “Hello from the other side”, I feel like it really shows his personality. I think this because the other side shows his Jason Bourne side. …show more content…
Another character is Alex Conklin.
Alex is a very cruel and barbaric man. He is the antagonist in the story. His goal is to track down and kill Jason Bourne aka David Webb. he said” Ill kill him with my bear hands if I have to” (Ludlum 99). This gives an idea of how badly Alex wants to kill Jason. He killed several people in different places around the world. He hasn’t killed in along time but now he has an imposter. Alex thinks he’s his imposter and wants to kill him. In the song Burring Ring of Fire, I feel like it relates to Alex. In the quote, “I feel into a burning pit of fire” it shows how angry he is; the fire being his anger. He wont let anyone get in his way if it means stopping Jason
Bourne. The Last character is Marie. Marie is David’s wife. The government kidnapped her in order to get David to work with them. Marie is a caring and blithe person. She met David after he had gotten out of the hospital because of his PDSD. She knew what he was going through and wanted to help him recover his memory. She moved in with him after David took a job as a professor in a Maine university. The quote “Don’t panic darling! Do you hear me, don’t panic! I’m alright.” (Ludlum 80). Shows how caring and calming she is. She really loves David and wants him to feel safe. In the song, Take Care, it shows her personality. in the song it says, “Ill take care of you”. This fits her personality because it shows that she cares for him and wants him to know that she’s safe and not hurt.
Abuse is a subject that should be considered important. There are about 960,000 abuse incidents reported annually. 85% of them are reported by women. The resting 15% are reported by men. In Fried Green Tomatoes, abuse is a recurring part of the book, Fannie Flagg does an admirable job in describing in detail the abuse incidents that happen throughout the book. Ruth is a character that receives abuse from her husband, she believes she deserves everything he does to her, even push her down the stairs. She finally takes the decision to escape from the abusive relationship she is in when her near death mother advices her to. Along the way characters develop some effects caused by abuse. People who suffer from abuse may develop fear, low self-esteem, or strength.
In the ancient Japanese culture, one great aspect was on how they emphasized on the intrinsic themes of loyalty and honor. They had fierce warriors known as samurai’s. A samurai was a traditional warrior who would protect and be loyal to their masters no matter what. They were known to be skilled soldiers, benevolent men, self-sacrifice, sense of shame, along with other major characteristics that embodied them as a samurai. While this class of warrior no longer exist today, the remembrance of a samurai is present in the minds of the characters in the novel, The Samurai’s Garden by Gail Tsukiyama. Tsukiyama does a fascinating piece of work by really elaborating and describing the great attributes that Matsu possess of a true samurai. In the
Iago throughout the book uses manipulative language to convince characters throughout scenes. However he doesn’t fail, from the beginning he has a well thought out plan, he manipulates people and he has complete lack of empathy which gives him the perfect traits for being a villain. A perfect villain in my definition is someone who can plan out a villainous act and act it out without failure. Iago has achieved this and so I consider him a perfect villain. Although Iago has a few flaws acting out his plan he achieves his goal to an extent in an evil and villainous way such as the failure of murdering of Cassio and his being tortured.
What would happen to the world when the Government and the drug producers create a partnership that benefits each side? This is reality in The House of the Scorpion, by Nancy Farmer. The drug producers are given land between Mexico and the United States, known as Aztlán, that is theirs to do whatever they want, without the interference of outside government, as long as they make sure no illegal immigrants come to the U.S. In the middle of all of this, there is Opium. In a sense he was very spiritual but in the type where instead of religion his beliefs were tight knitted. His beliefs were so strong that he couldn't escape them in the city where everything is corrupted; nevertheless, he left to wilderness to find the peace he was looking in this world. Yet to leave he had to leave his past which in a sense would only weigh him down “ he intended to invent an utter new life for himself… No longer would he answer to Chris McCandless; he was now Alexander Supertramp, master of his own destiny.” With his new name Alex had found new family that understood him and when it was time to leave them it was hard. He was committed to finding a purpose for his life in the wilderness; however, it was hard to leave the new family he came to love, “ I noticed he was crying. That frightened me. An incorporation not only renders them necessary, but makes the act of the majority binding upon the whole.

Monsters! They are under the bed; They might be in the storeroom. Those things in the basement, the attic, and as well be the relic in the mirror, the chilly eyes gazing toward you for despising. The creatures here and there inspire heroes: the community’s bravest crowd to ascend. The authors, Brandy Ball Blake and Andrew Cooper described monsters and showed where there could be hiding in their book, “Haunting Boundaries.” For this essay, the storyline behind the monster in the book, “Coraline” would be my focus because the monster brought out the story of Coraline, the girl who displayed bravery and faced her fears against her other mother. The other mother is the monster in the book of Coraline written by Neil Gaiman. A creature that inspires

Paragraph 2: Another important factor that made survival possible for salva is perseverance. In chapter 9 on page 52 it says, “After only a few minutes Salva had to kick off the flapping shreds and continue barefoot.” That shows perseverance because despite the fact that the sand was scorching. Salva didn’t give up and instead of complaining through the hike across the desert. He endured his pain from the thorns stabbing his feet and stubbing his bare toe on the rock which resulted in his whole toenail coming off. On top of that, the hardest thing Salva had ever done, was taking tiny sips when his body sobbed for huge gulps of thirst- quenching water.

Separation hurts, by choice or by force. The detachment from something that is obtainable to others is deleterious to one's outlook on life. Because they come to find a sense of becoming claustrophobic in the idea of a life that will always be shadowed by a glass ceiling. This context is depicted in the play “Fences” as the characters experience there own barriers, and the fires kindled as they attempt to cope with them.
Literally this quote is describing how Victor felt about his monster at the point of creation.
A character from the novel “Wuthering Heights” designated Heathcliff interprets iniquity as everyone should suffer and be treated virtually like he had experience. For example, with Heathcliff’s father exhibiting more love to Heathcliff than his blood born son ,Hindley , he would get jealous then furious, after Heathcliff’s father dies , Hindley would show execration by treating him differently by restricting his freedoms and availability to acquire an inculcation . As time passed, with Hareton not able to obtain Wuthering Heights from his father due to financial instability , Heathcliff would acquire the property and make Hareton his auxiliary ,then would treat him just as lamentable as Hindley did , by inhibiting his freedoms. What makes this an inequity is that Hareton didn’t show any astringent treatment to Heathcliff so he does not deserve it.
"It is impossible to go through life without trust" is a very true statement about life itself, this quote is found in The ministry of Fear written in 1945. This quote means that if you don't trust other people or if you are not trusted you cannot live a healthy life. Two books that are good examples of this quote are Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska by John Green in both books there are characters that struggle to live life because they have physical and metaphorical trust issues.
