In this paper we are going to take a look at Jack Welch and the way had structured his organization, by team and best practices. Jack Welch was a man who believed in team development, training and fostering a strong culture of innovation. Also, in this paper we will analyze how Jack Welch used communication to help foster this team building and how communication was crucial to building his empire at GE. He did this with his "work-out" method. In which he allowed the employees to communicate how to get something done. Any methods or means of communication on certain projects were amongst each other with no real formal methods. Jack thought this was important to the creative process. When we think about engagement and Jack Welch a perfect example is to expand on this "work-out" methods. Not only did this engagement informal communication, but it was much more than that.
