Purpose Statement: The purpose of this speech is to inform the audience of the difference that heroes can have, specifically Lucille Ball, an American actress that paved the way for future women, and Juliet Capulet, a fictional girl who tried her hardest to resist control over herself.

Introduction
“The greatest heroes are those who do their duty in the daily grind of domestic affairs whilst the world whirls as a maddening dreidel,” said Florence Nightingale. She was right, heroes don’t have to be big people that everyone knows about.
The heroes I’m contrasting are polar opposites. Lucille Ball, a world famous actor known for her show "I Love Lucy", and Juliet Capulet, a girl who wasn't notable for anything other than her family's wealth. Lucille pursued a difficult career, but she stayed confident in herself. I believe that what she did has displayed passion, perseverance, and determination.
Juliet Capulet displayed a different set of heroic qualities. She stood up to her family and did what she wanted. She displayed courage, bravery, and independence. She makes a good role model.
