Is it selfish to have a big family? Old-fashioned people always wanted to have more than two off springs. It was their tradition and as it is known that "old is gold”. Others will refuse that idea as it causes a higher population, but it is not a problem if the people are distributed in an organized way all over the country. Thus each individual would have their rights. Therefore there have been many arguments about whether to have a small family or a big one. Extended families are preferable from the social, financial and psychological aspects. Family is basically a sample of society. Extended families are always cooperative and helpful. One will never feel alone with their family and siblings. This is how the society should behave. According to Brazier (2013), that the child will always have a sibling to turn to if the parents have separated or died "after all, a sibling is for life, not just for childhood" (P.3). Moreover, big families share their experience from one to another. This makes them less stressed while trying anything new or having a new stage in their lives. It also improves their skills. According to Brazier (2013), researchers have shown that children with their siblings will acquire "stronger soft skills and keener emotional intelligence than single children". In addition to some of the most recent evidence even suggests that a child who has a brother and a sister will gain evolved skills of language and do better at exams. However, this is a revolutionary information (P.3). Siblings supply each other with power and energy. Whenever they are around, one cannot lose hope and energy about anything. Whatever, this indicates that they are totally healthy. Brazier (2013) sta... ... middle of paper ... ...g families would help in improving the economy as their members would work for the country with no need for foreigner laborer. The country should provide a work for every member in each family considering the qualifications. It is never about the big family. It is always about the regulation of any system and the organized distribution. Reference page -Colin Brazier. (2013). Why having big families is good for you (and cheaper). From the time a child is born, in usual circumstances, that child is loved unconditionally. A person grows up with their family, and is able to express who they really are. Because of this, ties within the family are usually quite strong. Take for example the relationship between Idgie and Buddy: Idgie (Imogene), a dare-devilish tomboy, and her older brother Buddy are quite close until Buddy's untimely death. Idgie takes his passing with difficulty: "You never saw anybody hurt so much. I thought she would die right along with him" (Flagg, p.37).
Children in large families are always forced to share. Children in smaller families believe that they are the center of attention because their parents have only one or two kids to support. Only children are often anti-social because they haven’t always been exposed to other children. Children who are not exposed to other children will become loners.
Their conclusion is that family dynamics have a key role in creating the context where sibling
In an agragarian society, their economy is based on maintaining and producing crops and farmland. When they are not industrialized, these societies depend on having a large family. After these societies start to industrialize, the need for a large family starts to dwindle. These attitudes towards bigger families change for multiple reasons. The first reason is that they do not need as many people to work now when they have machinces to do it. Second, before industrializing, they needed as many members of their family that they could to have and keep land because that is what kept them “alive” and it was a good sign. After they industrialize they did not need to have such a large family because they had become consumers instead of producers.

Something that has become more common in this generation of families is step and half siblings/families, they were rare to come by due to families not separating. Although now families have separated more due to divorce and multiple marriages, and the term half sibling and step families became more common and a well known word. There are lots of input on how families should deal with step siblings and/or half siblings, but those families with the half siblings and step families like to do it their own way. Research has shown that, by doing things their own way, half sibling families become a lot closer with each other, rather than families biologically related. Half siblings can become closer than full siblings because saying your sibling
They think that management time in a large family is easy. People believe that a large family which have a lots children could help save money from day care and children tutoring and keeping children safe because siblings could be friend with each other better than with outsider
The article Sibling Structure and Educational Achievement: How Do the Number of Siblings, Birth Order, and Birth Spacing Affect Children’s Vocabulary Competences? by Claudia Karwath, Ilona Relikowski and Monja Schmitt is a great resource for understanding how a family can impact a child’s vocabulary and early education. According to
According to Mental Health Professional Michelle Blessing, “there is no right or wrong answers when it comes to what is the best type of family structure. As long as a family is filled with love and support for one another, it tends to be successful and thrive. Families need to do what is best for each other and themselves, and that can be achieved in almost any unit” (Blessing). Families offer companionship, security, and a measure of protection against an often uncaring world, but family structure has undergone significant changes since World War II. Variations in family structure are now plentiful -- and yet often still quite successful. Whatever the family situation, whatever the familial structure, it will have tremendous and unique influence upon the child’s happiness, development, and future.
One of the reasons growing up with siblings can benefit children is because they can learn from their siblings in multiple ways. Children can indirectly learn from their siblings by recognising their mistakes and avoid making the same ones. This helps the other siblings because they will have a greater chance of not making the same mistake and save their time, so they can focus on other things. If one sibling handles a situation or event a certain way and things do not end well, another sibling can change the way that he or she approaches the situation in order to achieve a
When the word “family” is discussed, most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. Without family in people's lives, they would not be the same people that they grew up to be today and in the future. When people hear the word family they think about, the ones who will help them in any way they can whether it’s money, support, advice, or anything to help them succeed in life. Family will forever be the backbone of support.
Out of the numerous commodities and resources that are scarce on the planet in which we inhabit a family, or even a family system, can never be parallel to even an iota of them. This is due to the fact that everyone, no matter what age at what time period of their life, has a family. That family may not be the cookie cutter family that society imposes on the media world. People develop without knowing their family, people create new families of their own, or they can even find something or someone to call family because of this family will never be scarce. Family is an objective concept to every single person and the definition varies significantly from being as simple as the smallest of toys to as complex as a group of people interconnected
The extended family predominated pre-industrially because of the need for a large family to help tend the land or look after those who were unable to do so. Infant mortality was high so you had to produce more children to be sure of having enough help. The family were a unit of production producing only the goods needed to survive and trading the remainder. Following the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th century, it was replaced by the nuclear family which was a unit of consumption as family members became wage earners and families needed to become more geographically mobile and move to where they could find work.
In conclusion, Having a little family is better to diminish world population. With little family parents can afford children requirements without stress and save money to help them in their problems in the future. Parents will have better family relations with their children and be less slanted to stress. With fewer children, it is much better to go on visits and journeys without any fretful or worry . Big families may lead to financial problems and make parents all the time under stress. If anyone think carefully, will he find the reason that make the small family better that the big one or not ?
It is a source of comfort, support, security, and protection. Family helps make sense of the world by allowing one to feel unique and special and be encouraged to follow their dreams and to succeed at life. Families will experience life differently but it should be a safe place that opinions can be expressed openly and each member be made to feel important. While college will provide academic lessons in life, the lessons learned from family will directly affect one's personal values and behaviors. Every stage of life presents joys and challenges. Relationships teach how to cope with those joys and challenges and boost the ability to reach life
