Is Bullying Better Than Being A Bystander Or A Bully?

Bullying often seems like something that shouldn't really be taken seriously, something we all tend to neglect. But we're wrong. Students are repeatedly bullied- sometimes to a violent extent- for many reasons, even for just being different. According to www.verywell.com, kids may be bullied due to the way they look or dress, the way they do something, or even their sexual orientation. Bullies oftentimes think they're better, stronger, or smarter than others, so they bully them physically, verbally, and/or through the internet. There are different reasons a bully may target someone like so. They might have a rough home life or might have been bullied themselves. Being a bystander is much worse than being a bully because the bystander is encouraging the bullying, is suffering guilt and pressure, can get in uttermost trouble, and is letting the victim down by exhibiting to them that no one cares.

By standing around and watching, nothing will change. According to Source 2, bystanders may be giving the bully the idea that it's okay to keep going. But it's not. They are encouraging the bullying by not giving any effort to help the victim. The bullying is going to continue until the people standing around stop standing around and take an exertion to end bullying.

Formerly, a bystander is worse than a bully because the bystander is suffering guilt and pressure. Standing around, knowing you can do something to help the victim but feeling like you can't doesn't feel too good. As said in Source 2, it puts a lot of guilt and pressure on the bystander's shoulders. They are usually under pressure, because they're aghast of the bully themselves. The bystander might worry about becoming a victim themselves by trying to stand up to the bully. Bystanders have much guilt and pressure put on them every time they witness
