In an article written by Serge F. Kovaleski and Joe Coscarelli called Is Britney Spears Ready to Stand on Her Own, The New York Times talk about how the life of one of the world’s most successful pop stars has been controlled by a court-approved conservatorship. A court-approved conservatorship is a guardianship that is designed to help people who cannot take care of themselves. Britney Spears needed this guardianship because her mental health started to deteriorate in 2007. This deterioration was fueled by the drug and alcohol problems that she was having. Brittany entered treatment for these problems twice, but she cut her stay short. In 2008 the mental issues she had seemed to be in full control of her. She also didn’t respond to several requests about getting an interview. It isn’t really possible to get an exact sense of her mental state from a distance. People that know Britney Spears, have said that the conservatorship has become a fact of life for her and that she accepted it. They have also said that it’s not like a cage, that it’s more of a protective bubble. Since the conservatorship started, some of the restrictions has been eased. Her status and the progress that she makes are studied by a court investigator, which is assigned to file reports on her progress once every other year. In conclusion to this summary, due to Britney Spears’ unpredictable behavior she was placed under a conservatorship. Britney wasn’t a normal case to be put under a conservatorship. Britney thought that the conservatorship that she is under has been too in control; she says that if it wasn’t for all the restrictions she would feel so liberated. She has been in a court-approved conservatorship since 2008, and she has been making

In “Girl Interrupted” Susanna Kaysen, the main character, goes through many episodes that give a picture of the disorder she’s suffering from. There have been many questions raised if the nurseries programs were fair but “the number of women incarcerated in state prisons in the United States (US) has dramatically increased in the past 20 years, and 70% of these women are the mothers of minor children, as of the last Bureau of Justice estimates” (Mumola, 2000). “Allowing women to parent their children within correctional facilities in the US may be “one of the most controversial debates surrounding the imprisonment of women” (Bel...
6), human services has taken a number of steps to try and help the young woman take care both her child and herself. Her case manager facilitated social care through prenatal classes, healthcare services for the mother and her child, childcare resources, parenting classes, and resources to improve her vocational skills (Woodside & McClam, 2015). Eventually they got a divorce and began battling over who will have custody of the child. The father eventually got custody of the child due to his wealth. He threatened to discard the child’s trust bond as a way to get the wife to give in to giving him custody of their child. Here the father used his financial power to gain custody of the child. According to family.findlaw.com, the parent that gains custody has to be financially, mentally and physically stabled. I believe that the father was wrong for attempting to have custody of the child because he knew that she could not stand a chance against him because she could not provide for their child. The husband scooped so low to threaten to discard their child’s trust bond to the point that she had no choice than to make sure her child’s future is secured. On the mother’s behalf, in order for her child to have a better future, she made the sacrifice to lose custody. She knew that she could not have given the child what the father could. If the father cares so much about the child, why would he threaten to discard his child’s trust fund? It is simple, some parents use vengeance as a way to get back at the other

Recently after changing her name Ethel Ross told her “Anna Marie is dead now, your Patty now”. When it came to the interviews Patty Duke’s mangers were telling her want to say and even to her own mother. Patty Duke’s managers told her she could stay in the
Furthermore, it can be shown that the avoidance, or better yet divergence, of tabloid journalism from the ‘seriousness’ of news is an employed strategy to further broaden the appearance of media itself and to foster inclusion. The Daily Sun newspaper was launched in 2002. The publisher had stated that its goal was to present to audiences an alternative news model to the usual “boring, serious, expensive, elitist, formal, and difficult-to-read” newspapers in South Africa (Du Plessis, 2005). It was established with the aim of broadening the scope of the demographics of audiences that are meant to have access to news and information- news and information that is relevant to and affects their daily lives. It was intended to reach its target audience-

Pam Wright, licensed attorney in Tennessee and elder law specialists said, " I always tell people to think about it earlier if possible because if you can make some of these decisions and think about this while you are able to make your own decisions, you can decide who can handle your business ahead of time."
