Anthony (Tony) Stark was original a fiction character from a comic that was created by Stan Lee in 1963 but since then has many movies and books made about him. Tony is sassy, brilliant, forgetful, rich, rude, player that eventually becomes a philanthropist. Even from the young age of 6, Tony quickly stole the spotlight with his bright, amazing, and unique mind. At the age of 21, his parents were killed in a car accident in 1991. In that same year, Tony became the new CEO of a weapon company called Stark Industries, a company that his father had started and he ushered in a new era for his father's legacy. He changed the face of the weapons industry by making satellite targeting, smarter weapons, and also more advanced robots. His weapons weren't always used for the greater good; for example, during one of his trips to the Middle East to show off his latest weapon, the Jericho, to the American army, he was abducted by the terrorist group, Ten Rings. During capture, he was hit with one of his own weapons causing many shards of shrapnel to enter his body slowing getting closer and closer to his heart. Yinsen, a captured doctor, took care of Tony but in return, the Ten Rings tried to make Tony build the Jericho. But instead of making it, he made a battle suit that he then used the suit to escape from the terrorists' base; sadly, Yinsen was killed during the outbreak. In raged with the death of his friend, Tony burns down all of the Ten Rings weapons and attempts to fly away, but he ends up failing and crash landing in the desert where he was then rescued by the military.
When Tony got back home, in Los Angeles, he announced to the press that his company will no longer manufacture weapons. Obadiah then calls Tony aside and, enraged, ...

...lives instead of killing millions of lives. Tony’s entire life used to be about weapons, he was a multi-billionaire, but yet he still chose to put all that behind him. We should be like Tony, we should stand up for what’s right even if other people disagree with us.

Maria had no authority over her restless family. The source of the conflict between Antonio and Maria originates from her oldest sons taking to going where they please and not caring about their parent’s wishes. The burden of pleasing their parents passes from the eldest sons to the youngest one. With the sole duty of pleasing his parents, Tony internally rebels against their wishes instead seeking to set to rest his churning mind by seeking his own beliefs. His brothers console themselves about abandoning their family by saying that “Tony will be her priest” (Anaya 36) and not knowing that the “dreams of their father and mother [haunt] them” (Anaya 36) also haunted Antonio. Having the responsibilities of his brothers and his family shape the way he grows and thinks. He isn’t just thinking about himself he also has the problems of redeeming his family on his head. Through the story and through Ultima Tony realizes that he is not bound by obligations and can instead shape his own
In the end, Tony plays the role of both hero and villain. His wife, Marcela, represents both the whore and the virgin Mexican-American. The both prove unfaithful: Tony to America and Marcela to Mexico. Herein lays the schizophrenic world in which good and bad coexist across the borders of two emerging world countries struggling for control of land and culture. There’s a price to be paid for such human greed and unrealistic expectations. Ultimately it proves to be a place where virtue doesn’t remain intact and villains abound, even among the good guys!
In Bless Me Ultima, Tony embarks on a rocky journey to discover who he is and what he believes. Tony must make the transition from a naïve six year old boy to a mature man. His experiences continually call his basic beliefs into question, and chip away at his innocence. For example, when he witnesses the brutal death of Lupito, he starts to question many ideas; sin, good and evil, punishment, and his faith. He begins to see the world of man as violent and sometimes ruthless, not the friendly, loving world where he had previously resided. He even becomes concerned about his own father's salvation because of Gabrielle's involvement in Lupito's death and begins to see his father as less than perfect. Death continues to haunt him when Narciso, a good man, is killed defending Ultima, while Tenorio, an apparently evil man, is spared. These outcomes are not what he believes should have occurred and yet again, a piece of his innocence is stripped away as he sees life is not always fair. He is beginning to realize that he must define his own beliefs.

At trying times, he "stood by Ultima" and "would have slashed out to protect Ultima" (138).Oftentimes, Tony's bravery reflects his curious and precocious nature. For example, he runs to the bridge where the criminal Lupito hides because he is curious about Lupito's situation (22). The first thing he wonders about when he witnesses Lupito's death is "where was Lupito's soul?" (26) , and this shows how deep Tony's thoughts are.
...l and harsh, or that the golden carp could not have saved Florence even though the river was its home, in spite of the fact that his parents and friends believed deeply in these powers and still put all their faith in them. Ultima, it seems, is all that is left to believe in, because she has always been truthful, and protective. The vengeance that Tony wants on Tenorio is God?s alone; however, with a new religion following in Ultima?s practices Tony could punish Tenorio if he was still alive, and have vengeance for the deaths of his friends and not be punished for it because Tony would only be killing a witch. All humans must change and because they must, the world they live in, including their religions, must change with them or be lost in time. The Catholic religion failed to change into what Tony needed, and so did the pagan religion, so he stopped belieiving in them; however he saw Ultima?s religion as a new unchartered way that he could create himself. At the end of Tony?s spiritual journey he finds himself lost in a world that is prophesied to end and without a true belief in anything.
Tony Stark and Hamlet also have the ability to self-destruct. During the third Iron Man Tony Stark instructs J.A.R.V.I.S. to take him to a rural area because he will not have the power to make it home. This then lands him with a ten-year-old boy and a power suit with no power. This shows his self-destructive behavior because he into issues with the Mandarin people leading to not having enough power to make it back. He also had to rely on the young boy to make it back to California and to his girlfriend (Black).
Tony would ask him so many questions why didn’t he believe and florence would tell him “I don’t know...My mother died when I was three, my old man drank himself to death, and...And my sisters are whores working at Rosie’s place-”(Anaya 195). Tony’s friends didn’t want Florence to be pardoned for his sins, but either way Tony pardoned him and that caused Tony’s friends to beat him up. This caused Antonio to question god and go to confessional to be pardon for his sins but he had no answers. After this Florence’s death came about, he drowned in the river while he was swimming and Tony was there to see him already dead. Tony would ask himself, why didn’t Florence confess, he would have been pardoned for all his sins. Antonio would question god because he didn’t understand why there was so much evil in the
Tony could’ve averted his death. If Tony had not wandered around in an alley late at night, and worn a Royal’s jacket, he would not have been stabbed and would still be alive. He was stabbed because he was a Royal, not because of his identity. He tried to be something he is not. People refused to help him because he was a part of the Royals. Also, if he wasn’t out late at night in an alley, he wouldn’t have been in a position to get stabbed. He went out late to get cigarettes, but the cigarettes could have waited another day. Although we don’t know it yet, decisions we make in our lives can come back to haunt
Making the suit is much easier than fighting Mandarin. Iron Man gets more skill by wearing the suit and learning how to use the suit. Iron Man’s greatest fear is the bits of shrapnel in his chest. Iron Man’s Abyss is when his suit is taken over. Iron Man’s revelation is when he develops a serious dependency of alcohol. At the beginning of his journey in the suit he is a bit cocky as well. “You’re not a man, you’re nothing- more than a manic. I’m not afraid of you, no politics here, just good old fashion revenge” (tony stark, google). Iron Man is wiser because he realized that you should never give up. His imbalance is fixed by making the suit and saving his life and the people around him. “I had my- eyes opened. I came to realize that i had more to offer this world than just making thing blow up” (tony stark, google). His injustice is fixed by making the suit. Iron Man’s gift is he gets his suit.
Tony saw through the prejudice though, he loved one of the PR's and when the Jets found out, they were ashamed. Tony's love for Maria was so real, he didn't care what happened. He died.Prejudice plagues this world now and forever, as long as there is a difference in people there will discrimination and prejudice.

In the novel, The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, the narrator of the story, like Siddhartha and Antonius Blok, is on a journey, but he is searching to find himself. This is interesting because the narrator is looking for himself and is not given a name in the book. Like many black people, the narrator of the story faces persecution because of the color of his skin. The journey that the narrator takes has him as a college student as well as a part of the Brotherhood in Harlem. By the end of the book, the narrator decides to hide himself in a cellar, thinking of ways he can get back at the white people. However, in the novel, the man learns that education is very important, he realizes the meaning of his grandfather’s advice, and he sees the importance of his “invisibility.” Through this knowledge that he gains, the narrator gains more of an identity.
We all have heard of Spider Man. He was the average teenager until he was bitten by a radioactive spider. I like Spider Man but I believe there are a lot of things missing in his movies. The police and government are portrayed poorly, as to assisting Spider Man or lack there of. Spider Man goes about doing his own thing, outside of the law. He is something we can all relate to and I believe that is why a lot of people like him. Most people would say they want to be like Spider Man because of his cool super human powers. I believe it would be a lot of hard work, dedication, and a lot of responsibility. Think about this, you would have two lives to live as a completely different person. You would have to keep up good grades, make some money to live on, support your family in one life, then save people, fight crime, and kill villains in the other life. It would be way to overwhelming for me.
