To what extent is child abuse a problem in Iranian culture?
Introduction:
Child abuse is huge problem across the globe. In the last 5 to 10 years, the act of child abuse in Iran has increased to such an extent that it now becomes visible and as the result of the evidence of the harm it does on innocent children. The act of abuse dramatically affects the health of children, causing physical problems such as very brain injury and it also negatively affects child’s mental health. This means that it is an issue that must be addressed soon.
Children are suffering physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect every minute in every corner of the world, often by someone they know and should be able to trust; most often in their own home. As a result, it seems that child abuse in Iran is at a critical level and children’s lives are mired in difficulty. Statistics shows that there should be strong policies and the policy makers should act upon solving this problem and design special programs and develop effective laws to prevent this issue. These are the key areas that the Iranian government must focus on if they tackle the issue.
Iran is a country in southwest Asian to the north of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Famine, street fights, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional and neglect are the most common abuse in Iran. UNISEF and National authorities as well as communities in Iran are searching for ways to stop this large issue. They are trying to check the flow and design programs to educate people. Although it is sometimes authorities that violate the most fundamental of children’s rights and many other countries.
Child abuse occurs in Iranian schools and homes and often there are not strong laws to protect these children (mainly aged between 2 to 17). In Iran, children have no rights and laws are not
