Introductory Speech: Sometimes we know people and not know them personally. I am here to introduce myself personally to you so I won’t be a stranger. And is it not true that many people have many things that they like and there are moments good to where you like it and there is the bad where it just destroys your vibe and the horrible thing continues on.... well I don 't. I like to play soccer, my family, and food. I am a very easy going person, to show this I will be sharing about my favorite food, my family, and about my favorite sport. This personally connects to me because it is about me and I have the credibility since I know myself. I will describe my first item and it is foods that I like to eat. . One of my favorite is tacos, but …show more content…
Soccer is my favorite sport and over the years playing for school and of school. I noticed that there are good and bad rival teammates. That there are some rival teammates that are cool and chill because they don 't mean to hit you and if they do they will apologize like "My bad man". Then there are other rival teammates that want to hurt you just to get a score without a “my bad” and also they brag too much to a point where they boast in front of the oposing team that they scored on and they are the worst. With teammates you find guys with a common interest within the sport. That help each other in order to make a score and win the game. Then there are teammates who want to hog the ball even if they can’t make the score and you are free. They are the worst to play with because in the end those hogging the ball can cost us winning the game. While playing soccer you find cool people that share a common interest. Now that I have introduced myself and talked about my favorite types of foods which are tacos and steak. I have also shared about my family and how they get on my nerves sometimes, and my favorite sport soccer. I hope that throughout my speech you have learned a little more about me and maybe even related to something. I am excited to start this class and hope to have a great semester with my classmates and maybe even meet new people with this speech introduction. Thank you for your time and
Soccer has guided me in many ways to become the person I am. Especially in high school, the sport has showed me how to be much more cooperative and open with others. Before high school, I isolated myself from others and had only a few close friends. Rather than being a sociable, I acted as though I was the only person in the world and had the outlook that as long as I do what is right individually, there is no need for me to work with others. This outlook changed when I joined the soccer team at Holy Spirit, my high school. With the way soccer is at the high school level, I had no choice but to cooperate and associate my selves with others. Once on the field, instead of introducing myself as "me" I had to introduce myself as a part of the team. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Sometimes I wanted to drive to games myself, and I was not allowed to because we are supposed to travel together and it would be wrong to the team for me to separate myself from the group.
While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.
In almost every high school throughout the United States, there always seems to be some discontent between the members of the football and soccer teams. One is considered to be the most popular sport in the United States, while the other is deemed to be the most popular sport in the world. The former, football, has more participants at the high school and college level than any other sport in the United States. While the latter, soccer, is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Although these two sports have some significant differences, they also have more similarities than some people may realize.
Social structure and social culture are a big part of our life. We have different structure and culture based on which group we are with. I have a totally different Social life with my family then when I’m with friends. A social structure and culture I love and enjoy every time is, soccer. With what ever team I am playing with my social life is always the same. A soccer team can be built with friends and family and also can be made with total strangers. The structure of the team is always going to end up trying to be a good unified team. Most of us are looking to win the game and we know that if we play together as a team we will have more of a chance to win. So we might come from different backgrounds or cultures but we all have one object
Thanks Miss Smith for making Science, History, Art, Drama, and Tech amazing classes. You are a wonderful teacher who makes learning fun, and I appreciate that. Furthermore, thank you Mr. Rague. Without your help, this speech would not have been written. You push every single one of your students to do their best since you know what all of us are capable of. Also, thank you Mr. Hall. I look forward to gym every Wednesday and Monday since you make it extremely amusing. Thank you to Mr. Block as well for helping me understand math better and for leading the 7/8th grade girls to winning the championship. Lastly, thank you Mrs. Rague. Before health class started, I did not know much about the heart, the food groups, the lungs, etc., but with your help I am basically a pro on all of the subjects. Thank
What’s the worst thing about preparing a Thanksgiving meal? No it’s not the time constraints, and no it’s not the amount of dishes you have, it’s the idea that foodborne illness can be present. Every Year “roughly 1 in 6 Americans (or 48 million people) gets sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die of foodborne diseases” (CDC, Burden of Foodborne Illness: Findings). There are four easy steps you can take to prevent these statics from increasing dramatically. First
I enjoy listening to music, creative arts, bowling, cooking, swimming, walking, reading mystery stories in both Arabic and English and I love gardening and growing different kinds of flowers. I also love helping animals, especially cats. I’ve always been very sociable and made friends with people of all ages and walks of life; mainly due to my sense of humour, general affability and interest in
When I hear when people undermine what soccer means to people like me I simply shake my head and laugh. Soccer has been a part of me for as long as I can remember and has created such an incredible impact on my life. There will come a day where the sport simply fades into treasured memories. I know to cherish every day that I get to play the sport. Soccer stands for more than just a game to me because it provides the perfect escape for my everyday problems, it taught me that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and my teammates all expect a lot from each other which pushes me and every individual on the team to be the best we can
Soccer, as you can imagine, is one of those sports, for example, early last year I had a soccer tournament and it was easy and difficult because the skill levels that were in the tournament, but this did not stop us from getting to the final against a team that was in classic and we were in challenge (different skill levels). They played for themselves not for the team. We played for the team and one because of it we were able to communicate well and understood how each and everyone of us played. Communication is key and if you get the entire team to communicate you will
I was puzzled and wasn't sure what to talk about tonight. I had to prepare this speech ahead of time and turn it in for approval. I much prefer doing things spontaneously, using all the skills I have developed over the years, you know, sorta letting people (being the teachers and parents) know that we really were listening! It's much more fun interacting with other people, watching their reactions, and playing along with them. But, I had to do the right thing, So while I was contemplating my topic, it came to me - this is what I want you to take with you as we depart the Bryan Station School District and move on into life.
Soccer is a brutal game, i’m not going to lie a lot of people get very physical and some even take it too personally to the point where they get frustrated and start to take their anger out in the game or even worse towards the other players. Playing soccer has taught me many things to never doubt yourself and to be a better teammate. It teaches you communication skills and working with other people in order to have a successful game. I’ve

Ok, its 12:15 and I just walked into my house from seeing a movie with three of my best friends and I have to write this speech. A speech that’s suppose to inspire all of you, and tell you how the future has so much to hold for the class of 2015, how the possibilities are endless. Right now I’m probably standing in the front of the class and supposed to be addressing all of you as “fellow graduates, or to the class of 15’”. But that’s not what I’m going to do. I put this off as I do with the majority of my work thinking I would just write something everyone expects to hear, but instead I wrote this.
My favorite meal is the chicken fettuccini pasta. I chose this dish because I can never stop eating it. The meal is made up of warm tenderized chunks of chicken, delicate smooth creamy white sauce, and many varieties of sliced up vegetables. However, when I was a child vegetables has always been difficult to eat. It prevented me from enjoying my favorite meal because I would always have to take out the mixed vegetables in the meal. As a child I 've tried avoiding vegetables, but was found throughout the school cafeteria 's food, my mother 's cooking, or many fancy restaurants. There was nowhere to run. Over the years, my mother knew I was struggling to eat vegetables. She worked very hard by coming up with her own recipes in order for me to eat healthy. From mixing in the vegetables into the meals I usually eat or to trick me into eating meat but was actually vegetables. Soon later I came to realize how much effort she has put into the meals. All those hour and hard work my mother put it allowed me to enjoy my favorite meal again.
Participating in a team sport can increase one’s self esteem. By being part of a team, you will give and receive praise. Receiving recognition from a team mate or a coach will boost your self esteem because you have been acknowledged for your efforts. As you are praised for your efforts, you will become more confident, thus improving your self esteem. Often times, the bond formed between team mates on the field translates into a friendship off the field. As team mates come to depend on each other and know that they are depended on, their level of commitment or responsibility to the game and skills needed for the game increases.
