I will say that the first qualification that a systems analyst should have is at least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, however this may vary from organization to organization. For example, depending on the position it might only require a degree or experience or it could require a combination of both. Systems analysts should be able to multitask. It is also really important that a system analyst possess strong interpersonal and technical skills. As a System Analyst you will need the interpersonal skills to communicate accurately when conducting a presentation in front of a group. On the other hand, the technical skills give you confidence in a presentation. According to the National Career Service you need a BTEC HNC/HND or a degree in the IT field plus industry experience. Many employers look for System Analyst that have experience working with HTML, CRM, XML, SAS, ERP, and cloud computing technologies.
Systems analyst must have a desirable set of personality character traits to develop a good ecommerce in an organization. According to Kendall & Kendall (2011) Systems Analyst are problem solvers they should view the analyst problems as a challenge and enjoy devising workable solutions, they are capable of systematically tackle situation at hand through skillful application of tools, techniques, and expertise. Systems Analyst needs to understand human needs in order to realize how they efficiently operate different programs. Certainly, there is always the possibility that management can get an outside all-around contractor to make sure that all tasks are completed suitable to meet the organization goals and needs.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a team as: “a number of persons associated together in work or activity,” or “a group of people who work together.” In the current information age more companies are relying on teams to solve challenging tasks and to reach more difficult goals. Since a team of professionals with varying expertise can produce solutions that an individual working alone would likely struggle with, it is no wonder teamwork is becoming increasingly valuable to companies across all industries.

They discuss the system theory as one of the beneficial theories that can help us intervene when we have a conflict. Teamwork is classified as people with different strengths and skills who work together to achieve a common goal. When a team works well, specific objectives are fulfilled and satisfied. Teamwork plays a crucial role in implementing and fulfilling a common goal in a team project. Each member plays a role and takes on different responsibilities combined together. In different stages of teamwork, conflicts and arguments may occur for as members have different standpoints which need to be harmonized within the team. The key to having an effective teamwork is to explore each member's unique abilities to motivate them.
There are four different types of teams. These teams are problem-solving teams, self-managed work teams, cross-functional teams, and virtual teams. Problem-solving teams work together to help find methods to improve the work environment or have suggestions to increase employee’s morale. Self-managed work teams organize the responsibilities of the employee’s such as assigning tasks to individuals, scheduling conflicts, and evaluate employee performances. Cross-functional teams are individuals whom all have experience in the same work field. The individuals come together as a team to incorporate their thoughts, designs, and new ideas to accomplish what the company needs to improve or create. Virtual teams are individuals that work together, but only by technology such as the internet, emails, or web cam.

Spatz (2000) and Katzenbach et al. (2003) added elements such as complementary skills, commitment, common purpose and goals, common approach or strategy and mutual accountability are the important elements for a real team. Hackman (1990) had the comparable definition where team, which form by two or more individuals with different set of skill to work adaptively to achieve a common purpose and goal.
Many businesses place an emphasis on the importance of teamwork. A good team consists of people with different skills, abilities and characters. A successful team is able to blend these differences together to enable the organisation to achieve its desired objectives.
According to the study of this course, I have learned many useful management skills and I feel like these skills will be applied to my future career development. When working on the self- assessment tests, I found myself fall into the category of the ISTJ personality types, which as illustrated by Myers Briggs, is the type of personality that is conscientious, considerate, and helpful. Personality traits such as honest, dutiful, practical and responsible are my strengths; personality traits such as stubborn, insensitive and poor communication skill are my weaknesses. Related to the knowledge I have learned in the course I believe both strengths and weakness will have influence to my future career development. In this reflection paper, I will demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses that may place the most influence on my way of success.
