When I am thinking about major life decisions, I stress out about where I am going with my life, and how I am going to get to where I want to be. I think about my life choices up to this point and my health. One life choice that I have never faulted on is the choice to eat at Chipotle almost every day of the week. Many are skeptical of my choice of food and unchanging love for a Mexican chain, so I feel a need to justify my cravings for Chipotle day-in and day-out.
First of all, I prefer to eat healthy as much as I can. Unfortunately, this task can be quite difficult being a full time student. I cannot intake my recommended daily nutrients from my quick and easy diet of Ramen and Cocoa Puffs. Other days I prefer to eat out, but there are not that many healthy options around where I live except for a few Mediterranean restaurants, and then, Chipotle. On a daily basis, I want to go to Chipotle because the food is great-tasting and healthy. Their meat is grass-fed and other ingredients on the menu are handpicked vegetables or handmade sauces with above-average foods that can fulfill the daily requirements for nutrients.
The main significant difference between Chipotle and others is they support green, they use recycled plastic for their utensils and napkins. Most of the hardware material like trash cans, tables chair and some decoration materials made out of recycled and salvage material. Chipotle’s politics towards recycling attracts a good amount of hipster crowd. We are living in a depletory reality, the resources in our hand are not going to last much longer and we already damaged the entire globe’s ecology with our existence so we have to start recycling from some point. The younger generations are more aware of recycling and ...

... you want to make new friends you are not far away to a person. In conclusion, Chipotle is my favorite place around the campus. It is not far away from where I live, it’s fast, tasty and healthier than other options around. It is always packed with variety of people with similar and different interest. You all have one common and it’s getting nice food so you can take advantage of that to make new friends while you are on the longest line of your life. Most of the people there are happy and enthusiastic, they are not like the people that work in McDonald’s and hate their lives. The ambiance is very unique to its own but same in every Chipotle. Their music can definitely make your day and attribute your Chipotle experience. The color coordination and the artwork is fantastic. The Aztec artwork that made out of recycled materials adds up some crisp to your experience.
Chipotle is classified in the restaurant industry as fast casual, a combination of the quick serve and the casual dining segments. Fast casual restaurants have the following attributes: high quality foods, upscale atmosphere, higher check averages between $7-$11, and pay at the counter (What exactly is fast casual?, 2008).
Chipotle is my favorite place to eat. As I am sure it is for other people. Chipotle is a fast food Mexican grill. They are most known for how big they make your burritos. Now it is fast food but it isn’t actually fast, they’re like a restaurant but without the wait. They serve all naturally raised meat and organic beans. So there food is pretty healthy and worth eating. The employees are always nice and it just a great place to eat over all. Chipotle is a great choice for a quick fast food stop because it gives great service, atmosphere, food and value. My experience there is always a good one.
Chipotle competitive advantage or Strengths has come from the ingredients that come from sustainable sources. According to the MarketLine article about Chipotle Mexican Grill SWOT analysis "Chipotle serves food using naturally raised meat (pork, beef and chicken) and dairy cattle... in 2014 the company served over 155 million pounds of naturally raised meat." Chipotle cares for their customers because they are not giving us food that has hormones and addictive substances. Their competitive advantage has changed the company culture and mission Statement nowadays they called it now food with integrity, the idea that their food is made with the respect for the animals and the
With a unique appeal, a healthy and delicious product, and a powerful social message that made our target customers feel great about eating Chipotle over more traditional fast food, we have pioneered the fast-casual restaurant model our customers admire. Furthermore, our food sourcing is a rewardable effort and it is what we and our customers respect.
When Chipotle first opened in 1993, the goal was to serve quality food fast, but not be considered “fast food.” To avoid falling under the fast food stigma, Chipotle strives to find the best ingredients with respect to animals, farmers, and the environment. In order to achieve these goals, Chipotle has created a matrix organizational structure that is divisional by location and functional by authority. Chipotle recently expanded internationally to the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, each following strict guidelines assigned by corporate employees from their headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Similarly, each location is functionally organized according to authority: regional manager, district manager, store manager, assistant manager, and
Eating a healthy and balanced diet doesn’t mean you always need to buy the most expensive foods. Neither does it mean having to switch to unhealthy foods, whose price tags may appear tempting, but which contain little or no nutritional value. Simply by making a few small changes to our daily lifestyles we can eat healthily, while saving money. There is a lot of information available from all different sources such as the NHS and the web where we can find ideas for meals that are healthy, tasty and best of all, won’t break the bank! The British Heart Foundation gave a simple but very effective example it read: Keep a supply of frozen fruit and vegetables in the freezer. They tend to be cheaper than fresh fruit and vegetables but still count towards your five (or more) a day. We can get fresh and cheaper fruit and vegetables from local markets, again, is a choice that not everyone is willing to make. Conrad Dean, an American nutritionist said: `You probably think eating healthy is expensive. I’ll be honest — it is. But there are tricks to keep it low cost; consume tap Water. Check the price of...
In visiting Chipotle’s website, it is adherently clear that they are trying to do a few things to overcome their recent faux pas from the past. Putting a majority of their site’s focus on their sustainability story, how they are helping the environment,
o Having friendly people take care of customers. o All while increasing awareness and respect for the environment, by using organically grown fresh produce, and meats raised in a humane manner without hormones and antibiotics. Maintaining a limited menu allows Chipotle to focus on the quality of the products offered and create personalized dishes for their customers. The serving area is set up much like a buffet line, allowing customers to choose what items they want to include in their meals and are served instantly after completing their order.
If there is one place in Naples that I never get tired of going to, and where I can have fun just by basking in the ambiance of its atmosphere, it’s the authentic Mexican restaurant, Cilantro Tamales. At first glance the restaurant seems to be in an inconspicuous spot, lying in a strip mall containing a no-name music store and consignment shop. However, despite the location, Cilantro Tamales stands out from all other restaurants or gathering places.
Proper nutrition is important in maintaining a long and healthy life. Most Americans are rushed due to their busy work schedules, and do not take the time to plan their diets properly. Like me, most Americans are unaware of the importance of eating a healthy diet and consume too many foods without the proper nutrients. Throughout my life I have been fortunate. I have not had any major health problems, and have been able to consume most foods without having to worry about gaining weight. These last two years, however, I started to gain weight and have become concerned with my diet. Changing my poor eating habits has been difficult for me, however, having this assignment has taught me that it is not as difficult as I previously imagined.
I think our team did a splendid job putting this project together. I believe that the use of Google docs help us to coordinate efficiently and make sure the project looked uniform. My individual contribution was the introduction, the heading, products and services, and some distinctive issues of Chipotle. I believe my collaboration as a team member was well balanced with the other members of the team. Along the way, we communicated and gave each other feedback on our sections to make sure we were on the same page. We had a team of four which was divided into the following sections.
Through life we have many different stages to where we are either settling down for a nice home cooked meal or we are constantly on the go, running around our hectic lives, eating very unhealthy foods. Especially in our college years, students are always on the go running to and from class grabbing a burger and fries from a campus restaurant or eating the microwaveable foods like ramen. Many people try to eat healthy, but always succumb to the stereotype that eating healthy is expensive and takes too much time. This is a common misconception because there are ways in which anyone can eat healthy and on a budget as long as they eat proper portions, eat the right kind of foods, and excessive.
A couple things that I need to add more to my diet are fiber and vegetables. First semester of college, I was living in the dorms called Eaton, which is located next to a dining center and a “fast food” place called Clyde’s. For me, it was very easy to walk a half of a mile down the sidewalk to get something fast to eat. What I didn’t realize was how bad their food is for you and how often I made an appearance there. It wasn’t until winter break when I came home for a couple weeks and started to get back to my old ways of eating when my mom would prepare every meal, which would include some type of meat, potatoes, and fruits and vegetables.
Since poor choices are made frequently throughout life what factors contributes to wrong choices? Tom Scheve, is a writer for “HowitWorks.com” and he says “The stress of making the decision can be what sets us up for failure. Humans are highly motivated to avoid making choices they regret. This hard-wired fear of doing the wrong thing can lead to stress so great it affects your decision making -- to the point where you make a choice you wish you hadn't.” With that being said not only does stress lead to bad choices but s...
When I was involved in sports I often ate very nutritious foods because I want to stay as physically fit as possible and eating right helped me do that. However, now that I don’t play sports and am a lot more concerned with school and work, making nutritious choices tends to fall to the back burner. Doing this assignment and taking this class in general have made me want to make more thought through decisions about what foods I chose to put into my body. I know eating a balanced diet makes people feel better mentally and physically, so it’s something I have been working on making a priority in my life once
