The main characters in Inkheart faced major conflicts, but resolved the problem. The major conflict that Meggie and Mo faced was when Capricorn held Meggie in captivity and made her read a monster out of Inkheart to kill Dustfinger and Resa. It is resolved by the author of Inkheart, Fenoglio, who writes a different ending of Inkheart in order for the monster to kill only Capricorn. For example, it states, “Fenoglio impatiently tapped the sheets of paper on her lap. ‘I’ve written him a new story with a happy ending. That was your father’s idea: changing what happens in stories!’... ‘I have finished!’ he snapped, irritated. ‘I’ve finished a dozen times already, but I’m not happy with it.’…’There are so many questions.
