Andie (Molly Ringwald) The main character of the story is a rejection according to the students in her Chicago High School. After school ends Andie spends most of her time working at a record store, her older boss (Annie Potts) Is one of her best friends and Co-worker. Andie likes to hang out with Duckie who has a crush on her, Andie helps Duckie study because if he doesn't get good grade he won’t be able to pass the year. Blane first meets Andie at the record store, she works at after a few days Andie starts falling for him, but does not know if she would be socially accepted. “Pretty in Pink” was released in 1986.

Blane later on invites her to night party at one of his friend’s house, but she did not know that this party was being hosted by Steff. After the party Blane offers to take her home, but Andie refuses because she does not want Blane to see in what type of conditions or house she lives in. Blane also invites Andie to the prom and says that she will go with him she gets so excited and tells her dad. Every thing is going well they go on another date They stay at a barn and that is the first time they kiss. The following day Blane ignores Andie at school and later on she confronts him And he says that he forgot that he asked someone else out to the prom, but Andie thinks that he is embarrassed to take her because he does not want to look bad and she runs away crying.



Overall “Pretty in Pink” is a really good movie, it is better than I expected it to be. It was not amusing in some parts, but the soundtrack that they used was really good it really fit into every part that was going on. I recommend High school students or students going into high school to see it because it is based on that level of education and will make sense to
