Humans need water. In a world that is overpopulated, we use a lot of water and other natural resources. Currently, in our world, clean water is getting scarce. Recently, for example, Flint, Michigan, had a water crisis. In early 2016, the water was discovered to be tainted with lead and other toxins. Long before that, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and Governor Rick Snyder along with his council, knew about the lead, but to save money for the city of Flint in early 2014 Snyder had changed the city’s water source to the Flint River which had corroded pipes, causing people of all ages to be sick from the high amounts of lead
Water has become a very controversial issue in the United States and around the world. As populations increase and resources decrease, the way we use our resources and keep populations safe become more and more important. Throughout the world there are nearly 1.1 billion people who do not have access the clean drinking water. 5 Most of these 1.1 billion people are located in poor areas and do not have the financial means to build the infrastructures needed to provide water to the citizens of their country. 5 Drinking water is an essential part of our everyday life. People must have water to survive, but it must be clean and safe to consume.

As I prepared to investigate an issue within my community, I reflected upon a personal experience from this past week at my family’s annual Thanksgiving gathering. As Americans, we commonly see Thanksgiving as a day to prominently express gratitude for the many blessings within life. While eating the holiday’s traditional, and seemingly mandatory, dressing and turkey, I looked around my grandparents’ crowded kitchen to see many family members, from toddler to adult, drinking bottled water. Upon this observation, I wondered, “why have we spent money on bottled water rather than just drinking the water we used to cook this extravagant meal? Is my family not thankful for our community’s public water system?” My community, like so many rural and
Drinking water is essential and indispensable to life itself possible on the face of the earth, it is much more than a well, a resource, a commodity, drinking water is specifically a human right of first order and an element essential national sovereignty itself and, most likely, whoever controls the water control the economy and life in the not so distant future.

I have being drinking a lot of sodas and sport drinks, and maybe barely two cups a day of water. I guess I am one of those people who care more about the taste then its contents but I have to change to have a longer lasting health. I know the advantages and benefits of water so I am going to reduce drinking carbonated drinks and concentrate more on drinking water. One of the benefits I see that comes out of drinking water is I will be saving a lot of money on sodas and sport drinks. But the main reason to drink water would be to achieve good and better health.
As many of you may know, 2013 has set the record for the driest year in California history and this drought has continued into 2014.
Water is essential for the human body to function. The body cannot store water and must have fresh supplies every day to perform virtually every metabolic process.( Water - a vital nutrient, 2014) Between osmolality, pH balances, Third Space Loss, sensible and insensible losses, assessments, and treatments; water has a lot of compartments and does lot for the body. In this paper I will discuss those certain topics and give an overview on how healthcare providers and nurses can provide the most efficient and sensible care when it comes to prognoses and diagnoses related to water intake and output.
Humans are mostly made up of water, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that someone should stay hydrated. If someone does not drink the right amount of water daily their bodies can become dehydrated. I had to learn this lesson
As of this year, nearly 1.1 billion people live without clean drinking water and 2.6 billion live without adequate water sanitation. The McDonald's down the street, however, will sell you a 1/3 pounder burger for only 150 gallons. Changes in lifestyle can easily reduce this number and help not only save water, but money as well. Currently, with our diminishing water supply, one of the main goals of humanitarian organizations is ensuring that everyone has the right and equality to water. With global access to water, it reduces the responsibility for political tension between countries fighting to literally stay alive.
Water is an essential nutrient that our body requires every day. Without water human life cannot be sustained. Water deprivation kills faster than lack of any other nutrient. People do not think of water as a nutrient and don’t realize the important role of water in the body functions.
