Wake up from sleeping, it's a snow day have fun. Do you know anything about the snowflakes that fall out of the sky. Snowflakes are awesome, because how they are formed, how they look, and how they help us. You should get to know snowflakes more. They are just fantastic in multiple ways. Even Though they are cold, they are fun to play with.
First off, snowflakes are prodigious of how they are contoured. "According to the article Snow Day," you need dust to compose snowflakes. It need to be at least 32 degrees or colder to have snow flakes a least stick on the ground. There is about 200 ice crystals just in one itsy-bitsy snowflake. "According to Earthsky.org," snowflakes depend on the atmosphere's humidity to be formed. You Know now snowflakes
The concept of lake-effect snow is rather simple. It starts when cold arctic air from Canada moves southwest across the great lakes, which are warmer than the air. As the air moves across the lakes evaporation occurs. The moist air is cooled as it is lifted up and then turned into snow. This snow does not stop until the cold arctic winds stop drifting across the lakes. Hills and valleys on the shore of the lakes intensify the amount of snow an area receives. The shore of the lakes as well as, any hills or valleys, cause the masses of moist air to slow down and “pile up”.
Lake effect snow is a very interesting mesoscale convective phenomenon that occurs mostly during the heart of the winter season and adds greatly to the annual snowfall that areas
Before the 1800’s, children were looked upon as only property. During this time, if a couple were divorced, the children would go directly to the father, because “women were not permitted to own property” (Costanzo & Kraus, 2012). This was practice in child custody was known as “the legal doctrine of Pater familias” (Costanzo & Kraus, 2012). However by the 1800’s thoughts on child custody had changed to what is known as “best interest of the child standard” or BICS (Costanzo & Kraus, 2012). BICS is pretty self-explanatory; its meaning is that the thoughts and feelings of a child or children caught in a divorce were taken into account over those of the adults involved in the case. The child (ren) was at that time placed within the best situation. Since not everyone was in agreement over what is for the best of a child or children caught in a divorce, once again things regarding child custody changed.
Blizzards are formed when the difference between the lower pressure in the storm and the higher pressure to the west creates a tight pressure gradient, or a difference in pressure in two locations, which in turn leads to very high winds. These strong winds pick up snow from the ground, or blow any snow that is falling, can then cause the significant drifting of snow (“Blizzards”).

I have been to a place that has lots of interesting snow and others. It is Lake Tahoe. It is a place that I will never get bored of that it has a lot of snow! Mostly you could do anything with snow. But most of all, beating your older brother up in a snowball fight. I really loved when each time I went down the big mountain. It was really amazing. I was also really happy of building snowmen and building snow forts that I never even knew I can build. It was amazing for all of what could be crafted with snow. The fantastic trip has come to the start!
The term snow is usually restricted to material that fall during precipitation in the form of small white ice crystals formed directly from the water vapour of the air at a temperature of less than 0°C and has not changed much since it fell. A fall of snow on a glacier surface is the first step in the formation of glacier ice, a process that is often long and complex (Cuffey and Paterson, 2010). The transformation of snow to ice occurs in the top layers of the glaciers and the time of the transformation depends mostly on the temperature. Snow develops into ice much more rapidly on Temperate glaciers, where periods of melting alternate with periods when wet snow refreezes, than in Polar glaciers, where the temperature remains well below the freezing point throughout the year. The density of new snow as it falls on glacier surface depends mostly on the weather conditions. In clam conditions, the density of new snow is ρs ≈ 50 – 70 kg m-3 (Table 1.1). If it is windy, there is breaking of the corners of snowflakes, and the density is more like ρs ≈ 100 kg m-3. After the snow has fallen on the surface, there are three processes that are all active together and work to transform the snow to ice.

Snow is a concept that only a few people really know about. It seems like most people hate snow with a burning passion. However, the true northerners praise every day that it snows; mostly because it does not happen a lot. At one point everyone that participates in a snow sport has to hope that it will snow every winter. Unfortunately, our hopes and dreams do not always come true. That was why snowmaking was developed in the 1980s and has been upgraded every year so maximum snow production is possible. The first reason was to fill in the gaps that Mother Nature left out. However, now the amount of snow we receive is drastically less than what it used to be. Instead of making snow to fill in the gaps, we have to make most of the snow we ski
This chemical reaction creates what everyone considers snow. Snow is a form of rain; therefore, snow shouldn’t be something people fear. Snow is safe for humans because it is just a solid form of water. Also, most snow just melts easily in a person’s hand, so snow can’t do much when coming in contact with the human body temperature. But if it is cold enough outside and the person is cold enough, snow will not melt and could create frostbite. If someone becomes too cold from the snow and the weather, the cold could cause damage to body tissues. In this levels of extreme cold, snow will not melt on the human body. The surface is not as hot as an average human body; therefore, it doesn’t immediately melt when it touches the surface since the weather impacts the surface directly. In conclusion, snow is frozen rain precipitating in below freezing

When we think of Christmas weather, “snow” comes to mind. From making snow angels, building snowmen, throwing snowballs, and catching snowflakes on our tongues, we anticipate living in every single moment of this Winter Wonderland. However, at any time, this perfect depiction of a Winter Wonderland could unravel unexpectedly to becoming a Winter Disaster, known as a snow blizzard. In accordance to the National Weather Service that the LIVESCIENCE website quotes of, a blizzard is a “storm with considerable falling or blowing snow and winds in excess of 35 mph and visibilities of less than ¼ mile for at least 3 hours.” The Great Blizzard of 1888 overshadowed New York City to become a city that was fully covered in snow ruins as it took its toll
In winter, there are many great activities to do and play. First, winter contains something that no other season contains which is snow. A numerous amount of people like to play in the snow and play a variety of games. They are making a snowman, having a snowball fight, or even making snow angles. Then, there are more games to play that involve snow like skiing, hockey, even snowboarding. There are also some people who have never seen snow so they eventually become fascinated with it.Winter can make people feel a variety of emotions and make “your mood lighten up”
Arguably some of the most iconic motifs of Snow White were the poison apple and, “true loves kiss.” These scenes occurred in the last moments of the story, and depicted Snow White falling for the jealous witch mothers horrible scheme, one of which would entailing her deep sleep. It could also be said that Snow White is apart of the damsel in distress archetype, another stereotype that asserts the stigma that a woman is weak and fragile, but I digress. Regarding the matter at hand, Snow White made no real character growth or self improvement, and continued to require a savior of sorts. The most notable scene concerning “true love's kiss,” is considered to be a simple example of the power of love, yet that was only their second meeting and the
As you continue to read this story, you will learn the true meaning of snowflakes that God has beautifully made. To begin with, snowflakes are formed in a miraculous way. As snowflakes fall, thick layers attach to make the snowflakes the way God wants it to be. When the snowflakes fall, ground temperature will decide whether the snow/snowflakes will stick on the ground or not.
