Millions of tourists visit Germany each year, whether it is for business travel, attractions, or culture. In fact, Germany had 380,334,000 tourists in 2010 ("destatis"). Diversified due to the geographic landscape of the country, Germany has a culture and customs unlike any other country in the world.
Germany, which consists of five different regions, is on the European Continent. The five regions of Germany are, The North Germany Lowlands, South German Hills, Central Uplands, Alpine Foothills, and the Rhine River Valley. Germany is slightly smaller than the state of Montana. Each region has very distinctive landscapes: low and high mountaintops, Lakelands, and sandy lowlands to name a few. The lowlands are in the north, uplands in center, and Bavarian Alps in the south.
Germany is the 14th most populous country in the world with a population of approximately 81,880,000 people. The capital, Berlin, is the largest city with an estimated 3,933,300 natives within the metropolitan area ("infoplease").
Weather conditions have a major impact since 80 percent of Germany’s land is for agriculture and forestry. Climate in Germany is generally cool and cloudy, with wet winters and summers, and warm mountain winds. There are no drastic differences between daytime and night temperatures, and it is even less noticeable in the northern regions than in the south. In summer, however, the reverse is true. The northern regions experience a bit more warmth than the Alpine regions of the South. The summer temperature in the coastal regions of the north averages around 66°F ("MyGermanCity").
Winters can get severely into freezing temperatures. During the winter months December, January, and February, snow a...

Many Americans can link their heritage to German origins. However, the German’s values, norms and beliefs have shifted when combined with American culture. Within Germany’s culture, there are common themes of organization, compartmentalization, and formality. The interaction between these themes of values, norms and beliefs influences the German culture, structured society, and worldview. While there are similarities between German and American culture, these two countries have difference views on human psychie.
Germany in the eighteenth century wasn 't really Germany like we see today. Instead Germany at this time was divided in many different states, where each state was ruled by a prince who decided the countries religion. People who did not accept the religion; and were caught, were often persecuted. During this time period people in Germany fled Germany in search of a better place with more freedom. People wanted the liberty to have their own religion, land, and basically a better life than the one they were offered in Germany. Many migrated to Austria-Hungary and The Russian Empire, but some migrated to America. Johannes Hanner a German immigrant that migrated to America for a better life wrote a letter to his family about how America has given
Tacitus's Germania is a thoroughly itemized ethnographic text detailing the geography, climate and social structure of Germany and its people. Unlike his Histories and Annales Tacitus doesn't offer a story line to be followed, but instead, he nudges forth an unspoken comparison to be made between two cultures.
To start of we all know that driving in Winter all drivers experience low visibility which causes all drivers to take it slower than usual. Before thinking about driving in Winter, you need to make sure you know how to handle snowy and icy roads before getting behind the wheel. All it takes is the smallest patch of ice or snow to cause you to skid of the road, which could cause life threatning injuries

States on the lee, or down wind, sides of the great lakes receive lake-effect snow every year. For some cities this can push the average snowfall up to 400 inches. During the February storm of this year records were broken for the most snowfall in one storm. For a duration of the storm snow was falling at a rate of six inches or more per hour. Some of the images captured from the event leave some in disbelief that such a thing could even happen. Storms of this magnitude completely shut down all activity. Many areas do not have equipment capable of handling such mass amounts of snow, and even if they do the task is overwhelming. (weather.com 2006)
The population of the United States between 2011 and 2015 averaged 315,418,838 people. Correspondingly Germany’s population is substantially smaller with an average 60,870,378 people between 2011 and 2015. There is a large difference in the population density between the two countries. Americas large population over Germany will show more production in manufacturing companies though, 17% of the cars manufactured come from Germany and 5.5% of America’s total import comes from Germany. Germany’s production is very good though they do import 8.6% of their products are from the United States. The largest exporter into Germany is
Germany experienced a lot of economic changes after Germany was split into East Germany and West Germany. Initially, West Germany was established as a federal republic but was established as it’s own independent nation in 1955. Many events happened in West Germany from the 1950s to the 1980s before Germany became one nation again. There were events such as “oils price shocks, generous social programs, rising deficits and loss of control.” East Germany’s economy was strong due to the Soviet Union’s reliance on Eastern Germany’s production of machine tools, chemicals and electronics. It became appealing to reunite with West Germany when the value of East Germany’s currency became “worthless” outside of it’s country because Eastern Germany was relying on the Soviet Union’s demand (Marketline).
Europeans and Americans have much more in common than most people think, making adjustments to life in a new country easier. Many customs are similar to practices in the United States. Germans have their own way of being German. Germany is a relatively small and densely populated country. Unlike the United States, which is a large, densely populated country.
...and resilient one full of economic prosperity. The geography, demographics, and politics have shaped this country into what it is today. From a Macroeconomic stance, Germany has out done all of its neighbors. Many other countries should enact what polices Germany has in play. Germany also has some of the top business schools in the world that I believe is responsible for the majority of the outcomes of the GDP being where it is today.
To understand a German's cultural differences it helps the nurse to know what their traditions, and experiences are. The majority of Germans, a large 70 percent, are members of a Christian church. A large percentage of the rest of the population of Germany are self-confessed atheists. It would not be good practice therefore, to assume that because a majority of the population of Germany is Christian that everyone from there is.
Being German-American is a very personal thing. We want and we find external independence here, a free middle-class way of life, uninhibited progress in industrial development, in short, political freedom. To this extent we are completely American. We build our houses the way Americans do, but inside there is a German hearth that glows. We wear an American hat, but under its brim German eyes peer forth from a German face. We love our wives with German fidelity. . . We live according to what is customary in America, but we hold dear our German customs and traditions. We speak English, but we think and feel in German. Our reason speaks with the words of an Anglo-American, but our hearts understand only our mother tongue. While our eyes are fixed on an American horizon, in our souls the dear old German sky arches upward. Our entire emotional lives are, in a word, German, and anything that would satisfy our inner longing must appear in German attire [Cincinnati Volksfreund, Nov. 13, 1 848]. (Adams)
Due to the history and the present rebuilding of Germany, there is a great variety of aspects in German Life. Everything from food to sports has its own style. All of which is a whole that makes up one great small piece of land. In addition, the culture can’t be considered great without its variety and what it has to offer. What do you know about Germany?
The year was 1992; a cold December arctic wind had brought a chance of snow to the area. It was the weekend and time to relax after a long hard week at work. The weather service had predicted several inches of snow to blanket the region by the next day. Not to worry: it was the weekend and traveling was not a necessity.
Wouldn’t it be fun to visit a different country? Many people visit different states, countries and continents for fun vacations, to see the world, or experience other cultures and histories. Europe and the United States are common vacation hotspots, others are the Caribbean, Philippines, and Asian countries like Japan. Some vacations are determined by price, some by location and attractions available, others by the time of year. But no matter where a person goes to take a trip, they are in store for a lot of fun and learning experiences. Take the beautiful city of Munich in Bavaria Germany for example, a city with a rich history, offering so much to see and experience. What could someone expect from visiting Munich? What is
