Longboards are very popular nowadays. When you learn how to ride a longboard you will feel free. Once a girl learned how to ride a longboard, so she thought she can do any cool moves or/and going down huge and dangerous hills without any protection. Almost everyday she went out with her little sister longboarding.everywhere she was riding she was like a pro, walking back and forth on the board and making herself the spotlight also showing off in front of her little sister. Sometimes showing off can have a big minus because what if you mess up and get badly hurt. Longboarders should not avoid wearing protection when riding even if u think ur a pro. Also do not go down hills you've never been on and just because other people do it doesn't mean you have to. I would rather you cruise on sidewalks or trails.
This all happened February 2015, My birthday was coming up and the only thing I had in mind was a longboard, so when my parents asked me “ What do you want for your birthday?” I replied with “Longboard.” So they went and bought me one. Longboards are very expensive the best ones are over $600.00-$700.00 so I didn't think they would get me one. After school I came home and saw a big and long box on my bed right away I knew what it was! Before I opened it I thanked my parents hundreds of times. Than finally opened it, it was all Ive ever wanted!

As a beginner I didn't wear protection so my brother was right next to me the whole time making sure I didn't fall or get hurt. As I got better at riding my brother tells me a few things I didn't know such as if you bend down while riding you go faster and if you lean back you start slowing down. That day I felt free but also sweaty at the same time because we were longboarding for hours. I finally learned to ride a board and I felt proud of myself for reaching my

Imagine being on the top of the world, on a bitter cold mountain, over top of an enormous crowd. Below where you stand, the lustrous lights are shining on a massive jump, that seems larger than the mountain itself, created for the professional snowboard competition. This gargantuan jump will decide whether you win or lose the competition. Becoming a professional snowboarder has been a dream to me ever since I first was beginning to snowboard. Being on top of the enormous slope and strapping into my bindings instantly made me relaxed and put a grin larger than the slope itself on my face. Everytime I glide down the face of the mountain I become focused and dialed in on my riding. When becoming a professional snowboarder as an occupation, I would
Interestingly enough, snowboarding was invented by Sherman Poppen in North Muskegon, Michigan, back in 1965. Nowadays, snowboarding is considered one of the most popular winter sports among teenagers. On the other hand, there are many people that don’t have the slightest idea how to ride a snowboard straight down a hill. There are four steps to learn the basic skills of snowboarding.

A few winters ago, some friends invited my family and me to go snow skiing at Paoli Peaks, Indiana. I did not know how to snow ski, and I leaped at the thought of trying this new sport. On the first morning we entered the pro shop to rent all the gear and make decisions about whether or not to take lessons or go it alone. We decided to be adventurous and go it alone—no lessons. Kent and Celeste, the friends who invited us, knew how to ski and snowboard. He assured us that he could show us the basics, and we would be on our way down the slopes. All of us, after a few minutes learning how to wedge our skis started down the family trail. Although the family trail had smaller hills and appeared safe, to me it seemed way
My parents still tell me stories when my brother and I would fall asleep riding with them. When I was five I got a Mini Z 120 that was the best thing a five-year-old could get and let me tell you I rode the daylights out of that. I only hit two trees and one pickup and the house two times, dad was never happy about that, but then again I was only five. Then when I got older I would ride with my dad on the back and tucker would ride his own and then now and then I would drive with my dad with me. Then one day I was riding on my own. I was 13 and we got to Ventura and we had to get gas so we pull into the gas station there was a DNR sitting there. I didn’t have my
My parents knew that I loved skateboarding so they would help me, my dad would take me to my uncle's house and him and my cousin would give me pointers as I rode the hills in their neighborhood. My mom would buy me the things I needed to fix my skateboard. They both saw how upset I was that I couldn’t ride so they would encourage me to keep going and not to stop just because there was an obstacle in my
I don’t remember the exact time when I was first introduced to skateboarding, it was probably around 6th or 7th grade. I remember my “skater” phase well (face palm). Anyway, fast forward a few years and I’m off to college. I was at Auburn University. The campus has lots of hills and slopes, very rough on the shoes. One of my friends, who also rode boards, would let me borrow one of his boards to ride around sometimes, and he would try to teach me how to control the board better. One day, he came to the student center where people often hung out to do work and whatnot with a new board he just bought. He got it from Goodwill, practically new, and since he had a lot of other different boards, he let me have that one. I was pretty psyched, I wanted
The freezing wind had chilled my hand to the bone. Even as I walked into my cabin, I shivered as if there was an invisible man shaking me. My ears, fingers, toes, and noes had turned into a pale purple, only starting to change color once I had made a fire and bundled myself in blankets like ancient Egyptians would do to their deceased Pharaohs. The once powdered snow on my head had solidified into a thin layer of ice. I changed out of the soaking wet clothes I was wearing and put on new dry ones. With each layer I became more excited to go out and start snowboarding. I headed for the lift with my board and my hand. Each step was a struggle with the thick suit of snow gear I was armored in.
Snowboarding is a new sport that is very challenging and exhilarating and is attracting new fans all around the world. Snowboarding has really changed since it was first invented. It has become one of the fastest growing sports in America and the world.
When I was 5 years old, Dad woke me up one morning and informed me that he was finally going to teach me how to surf. I was ecstatic. I used to watch my brothers in envy as I crouched on the damp sand with my head between my hands resting on my knees, sulking at the fact that I wasn’t allowed to surf until I was 5.
I was only ten years old when I began learning how to ride a bike which wasn’t easy for me but got the hang of like any other person would. My family members were annoyed of me constantly asking for someone to teach me. I wanted my own bike just like my sisters and be able to ride along with them and not bother with their rude remarks of not being able to ride a bike. So my father decided to help me learn in front of my building in the summer until I was able to ride on my own. My father's reason for teaching was for us to spend more quality time together since he was always working. It took me three weeks to learn due to the small accident I had which help me learn a valuable lesson.
Thinking of surfing brought me to think about my brother who is a surfer. I reminisced about the times he and I had sat quietly in the ocean waiting to see that perfect bump in the horizon. He taught me a great lesson in surfing; you don’t always have to pick the first option because there are more opportunities to
