Haunted houses and other scary Halloween attractions are a great way to spend an evening with your friends. I love to find new Halloween attractions that pop up in the month of October every year. It is a way to get thrilled, chilled, even a little scared, and still have a fun time. Make sure you go with a group of friends or family members. I would not want to go into any scary Halloween haunted houses without some friends with me.
Right around Halloween the air gets cooler, it gets dark earlier and we are all thinking about ghosts, ghouls and things that go bump in the night. People begin to think about fun or scary Halloween costume ideas and design graveyards for the outside of their houses. And we think about which haunted attraction we are going to visit this year.
Last year a group of us went to the Eastern Penitentiary in Philadelphia and I am happy to say we were scared out of our minds. But we survived the adventure to talk about it.

Some contain over 100 animations, have a cast of 50 actors, and have over 40 sets realistic enough to rival a Hollywood horror movie studio. Many of these haunts have movie quality make up staffs too. You can not tell the difference between the fake bodies and the real cast members in these horror shows.
A lot of research goes on to see what scares us. What our deepest fears are, those phobias and anxieties most people have in common. We all know how creepy it is to walk through a spider web when you are walking in broad daylight in a garden. But to walk through a spider web in a dark enclosed fog filled area with creepy music increasing our anxiety level is much scarier than a spider web on your back porch or in your garden...and the one on the back porch is spooky enough. Add all the other tools designed to intensify this experience and you can feel real terror in these haunted
Late autumn has arrived and with it comes the dark magic of Halloween--and, of course, the
Although Carpenter has said that this was not intentional. Halloween made the audience experience fear and terror throughout as the suspenseful stalkings and killings are seen from the point of the killer’s eyes, a few times looking through the mask, this makes us as an audience feel more involved in the film and therefore feel more fear towards the people getting chased/killed. Other scenes are viewed through the eyes of the characters in danger or by heavy breathing of Michael Myers, this builds suspense for us a viewer and we wonder what will happen next when we most expect it. Almost every scene is filmed with the camera consistently moving around to make the audience feel disordered, totally insecure, unsettled and paranoid, believing that every looming corner, shadow, noise, or shape is potentially life
In slasher films, suspense is a big factor to what makes the movie intriguing and keeps the audience watching. Suspense causes people to be on the edge of their seat with anxiety and tension with being unsure of what will happen next. It’s the feeling of not knowing what’s in a room in a haunted house when you hear strange sounds coming from it. I feel the best-known film director for his suspenseful movies is Alfred Hitchcock. To create these movies there are many techniques used to create the suspenseful feeling in the movie. In the slasher movie Halloween I reviewed, many techniques were used that made the movie suspenseful to watch, such as the use of music, back lighting, hand held camera movement and point of view shots.
It’s fall everyone and Halloween is coming.I would like to tell you that fall is the best season of all.
Halloween was not supposed to be like that, it was supposed to be more like when I was a kid. Houses would be decorated, jack-o-lanterns would be sitting near doors, and
Everybody celebrates Halloween, but some people might celebrate the spooky holiday in a variety of ways. Most people celebrate this holiday by going door to door asking the greeters for candy while in their costumes. Others may see the night as an advantage to play pranks on others or even to create public haunted houses or haunted trails. For people that like to hold public events, they may create costume parties. For those that are either lazy or they just don’t want to participate in the events, they may spend the night by staying in their houses and doing an activity of their own. Most do not know this, but Halloween was originally a holiday to honor loved ones who passed.
"Haunted House producers have hired more than 300-plus people, including scare cast members, ticket takers, and operational assistants on site to help the crowds and make the joy of fear fun." (Beast)
Laughter and cheers fills the hallways of family far and wide. Children running all over the house playing tag. Babies fusing wanting to be held. The three gracious holidays that accompany fall; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Millions of sweet candies and frightening screams can be found on Halloween night.
My goal for this month, is to get through all the Halloween movies and review each and every one. So far, I'm failing miserably, as I'm only now getting around to reviewing the first and one of the best in the series, Halloween. Released in 1978 and still scaring audiences to this day, Halloween rates as one of my favorite horror films and features a killer who is pure evil. Read on for the review...
John carpenter's 1978 Halloween is not only a horror movie classic but a personal favorite of my own. As a horror movie enthusiast myself, you can't go wrong with starting with the very first Halloween to kick off a good night of screams and sleeping with the lights on. Halloween starts off in 1963 Halloween night when a teenager Judith Myers is at home supposed to be watching her six-year-old brother Michael Myers but ignores him in favor for her boyfriend to spend a romantic night with him. After her boyfriend leaves Michael proceeds to walk into Judith's bedroom still in his clown Halloween costume and mask with a butcher knife from the kitchen and repeatedly stabs her. She falls to her bedroom floor where she dies.
Halloween for me means party, girls in naughty outfits and boys are in scary costumes, all together in streets, homes, or clubs. Halloween has been always my favorite holiday as well as for all members in my family. I have no idea why Halloween is so special to us, but maybe this is because we get every year a chance to dress up and pretend that we’re other people, without thinking that we're crazy to do that. Maybe because it makes everybody feels so young at his heart, or maybe because there is always in the air a sense of magic and mystery.
Trick-or-treating known as the nationwide holiday of Halloween. Taken place on the day of October thirty first. A day full of costumes, candy and good vibes. Seen as the day where nearly everyone no matter the age can enjoy. A holiday that can bring a community together.
Chicago Halloween Night The ghostly figure rises out of the night, boo! Halloween one of the most frightful nights of the year commonly celebrated with candy and costume. The celebration originally commemorated the memory of deceased family and friends. But later became commercialized with some of the tradition intact.
Plots within the horror genre often involve the intrusion of an evil force, event, or personage into the everyday world. Prevalent elements include ghosts, aliens, vampires, werewolves, demons,
With gusto, I woke up that Halloween morning and was so excited to get together with all of my friends! That afternoon, after school, I immediately started to get ready for the big night. I was dressing as a vampire; my friends were dressing as a lion, Batman, and a zebra! I was finally ready, so me and my friends walked outside and started driving to my friend, Alex’s house. It smelled like a big fire was burning, and it was very cloudy and eerie but, of course, I was still going!
