The ghostly figure rises out of the night, boo! Halloween one of the most frightful nights of the year commonly celebrated with candy and costume. The celebration originally commemorated the memory of deceased family and friends. But later became commercialized with some of the tradition intact. Chicago's in the past has hosted some of the some of the top Halloween parties in the US. Chicago on Halloween features chilly windy late October weather, costumed characters and people, and setting and ambiance.

The chilly windy weather defines late October in Northern Illinois. The red twilight that loomed in the sky like an ancient omen did not warm the chill of the air.
