Public health has been around for the past couple of century's, what is public health however, it is where you ensure the well-being of everyone in the population, and trying to treat illnesses. Public health isn't all about just curing one person’s illness, but about treating the whole populations, to improve our health and to prolong life for everyone. There are 7 key aspects to the public health strategy, these are monitoring the health of the population, identifying the needs of the population, developing programmes to try and reduce the risk of a disease early, controlling diseases that can be passed on, promoting health of the population, planning the provisions of health and social care and target setting. Also through education, and promoting exercise. By having physical exercise lesson in schools means that children will get the correct balance of exercise, preventing obesity at a young age. By planning and evaluating the provision of health and social care, they can find out if their attempt to make people a bit more healthier has actually worked, and to see if they had an impact on a large range of people.
