In this study, there are some key terms that needed to be defined such as perception, creativity, critical thinking and Intellectual Science and Mathematics Program (I-SMP). The definitions were as follows: 1.7.1 Perception In general, perception defines as the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses. As cited by Unemeri (2009), from the lay man's perspective, perception is defined as an act of being aware of "one's environment through physical sensation, which denotes an individual's ability to understand" (Chambers Dictionary). It requires high-level thinking; involves the process of analysis, evaluation, reasonableness and reflection (Jeevanantham, 2005). As future human capital, a university student to equip themselves with critical thinking and problem solving skills as this is the focus of employers in hiring people. Unfortunately, most of university graduates are still lacking this skill. The main objective of this program is to attract students to love and enhance their understanding, especially students whose are poor in science and mathematics subjects. This program is an initiative by lecturers and students of the Science and Mathematics Department, Faculty of Education UiTM Puncak Alam. The existence of I-SMP not only helps school students to enhance their academics in science and mathematics subjects but also help pre-service teachers in Faculty of Education, UiTM Puncak Alam to build up their content knowledge and pedagogical skills. This kind of program actually had already been conducted by many organizations and research also has been done to see the effective of this kind of program to school students and pre-service teacher. Before pre-service teacher could go to school for participate as facilitator in the program, they need to attend facilitator class session which conducted by En Nurul Akmal Md Nasir (PLF) and En.
