You have learnt lots of things throughout the course. How have you applied this knowledge to your successful involvement in the retreat? (A2)
Throughout the integrated learning program, students have developed new skills and enhanced their depth of knowledge. In particular, I have developed my communication skill and my ability to think critically and creatively throughout integrated learning, which I have successfully incorporated into other areas of my life. I had also applied this skill extensively throughout the retreat, as this event encouraged the students to be socially active with others as they conducted various activities. As previously discussed, students were involved in numerous activities throughout the retreat, that required students to use several of their capabilities to successfully participate in each activity. An interesting activity was decorating candles in a way that reflected us; this required me to critically evaluate my life and how I am progressing with it. Therefore, I was able to develop my critical and creative thinking capability through the retreat.
Additionally, there were several pages in the folio that mandated the students to reflect upon their lives and their long and short-term goals, and how they will achieve them. This required the students to deeply think about their goals and whether they are achieve or not, and how much effort they must put in to achieve. The students were required to collaborate with each other and respond and resolve all the problems that were encounter and give alternative endings to the situations. For me, this task was extremely problematic as the group members were all addressing different resolutions to the problems; however, each resolution had various flaws, which consequently required me to address the flaws of each resolution and present new resolutions. However, my resolutions had flaws and this process went on a cycle until an effective resolution was composed. Thus, allowing me to develop my communication
