Recommended: Food quality importance to the food industry
Food quality evaluation is important to ensure proper control of quality in food industry, lesser prices, longer shelf life and good taste of the food. Human perception is manipulative and accurate. Hence, there is a need for machine perception since it’s a robust and reliable method. For food quality evaluation, sample images with some problem in quality are chosen. Some of the commonly evaluated foodstuffs include:
[1] Non-vegetarian foods like eggs and sea food
[2] Crops and seeds
[3] Fruits and vegetables
[4] Chocolate chip cookies
#Quality evaluation for chocolate chips will depend on number of chips, size of chips with respect to full cookie, area of chips and their distribution throughout the cookie.
Images of various cookies considered for evaluation are given in

The ultimate goal for a system of visual perception is representing visual scenes. It is generally assumed that this requires an initial ‘break-down’ of complex visual stimuli into some kind of “discrete subunits” (De Valois & De Valois, 1980, p.316) which can then be passed on and further processed by the brain. The task thus arises of identifying these subunits as well as the means by which the visual system interprets and processes sensory input. An approach to visual scene analysis that prevailed for many years was that of individual cortical cells being ‘feature detectors’ with particular response-criteria. Though not self-proclaimed, Hubel and Wiesel’s theory of a hierarchical visual system employs a form of such feature detectors. I will here discuss: the origins of the feature detection theory; Hubel and Wiesel’s hierarchical theory of visual perception; criticism of the hierarchical nature of the theory; an alternative theory of receptive-field cells as spatial frequency detectors; and the possibility of reconciling these two theories with reference to parallel processing.
The hypothesis that states that “if pectinase and cellulase are added into different containers of applesauce, then pectinase will produce the most apple juice because pectin, which is very abundant in applesauce, is broken down by pectinase to make apple juice” is supported by the data. According to the data, when water was added to applesauce, the amount of apple juice created on average was 8.2 ml. When cellulase was added to applesauce, the amount of apple juice created on average was 8.26 ml. Both of these substances created less apple juice on average than when pectinase was added to applesauce. The data shows that on average the amount of apple juice created with the assistance of pectinase was 13.16 ml. Therefore, the conclusion can be made that the enzyme, pectinase, extracts the most apple juice out of apple sauce. This conclusion can also be supported by the data found by members of the class. The average amount of apple juice
A fruit’s heat and lineage are very dependent on growing conditions it is in. Soil, rainfall, and climate are factors that would have the potential to alter a plant. The author questions rather the Naga King Chili would be hotter if it were grown in an area with different growing conditions. Even in regions just next to Nagaland, it is possib...

Unsupervised segmentation using a single view can in turn be categorized into six classes, region-based segmentation, contour-based segmentation, clustering segmentation, pseudo-color segmentation, graph segmentation, and variant-feature transformation.

The three chocolate chip cookie brands tested were Chips Ahoy!, Keebler’s Original Soft Batch, and Cub Foods brand. The three brands were rated on a scale from one to three (three being the best, one the worst) on their flavor, chewiness, and appearance. To score a three on flavor the cookie had to taste delicious and melt in your mouth like ice cream outside on a hot summer day. To score a three on chewiness, it had to be very soft like dough and take a long time to finish. Finally, to rate a three on appearance the cookie had to be very appealing to the taste tester and look delicious to eat. The brand of cookies that scored the highest in each category, I crowned the best chocolate chip cookie in America.

In this section, the results of the research are presented. For each task carried out, the most important information obtained is presented.
It changes from blue to red with acids but loses its colour in the presence of certain chemicals, one of which is vitamin C. DCPIP solution can be used to test for the presence of vitamin C in foods. Hypothesis Orange juice has the highest content of vitamin C. Citrus fruits have a higher content of vitamin C. The orange and lemon juice contain more vitamin C than the pineapple juice. Furthermore, as lemons are more acidic than oranges, I predict that the orange juice will contain more vitamin C than the lemon juice. Vitamin C affects, the ph the more vitamin C the higher the ph. This clearly shows that the fruits and vegetables play a vital role in maintaining our good health. Fruits and vegetables are seasonal and grown in different parts of our country. They need to be stored for longer period and transported to different places. It makes necessary for us to find out whether there is any damage to the useful contents of the fruits and vegetable during the storage and transportation or due to some preservatives or other factors and what kind of nutrients, minerals, etc. are present in their juices. With this idea in mind, the project has been undertaken.
Image segmentation divides a digital image into multiple regions in order to analyze them. It is also used to distinguish different objects in the image. Several image segmentation techniques have been developed by the researchers in order to make images smooth and easy to evaluate. Famous techniques of image segmentation which are still being used by the researchers are Edge Detection, Threshold, Histogram, Region based methods, and Watershed Transformation.
Food Preservation is the ways to retain the food quality in a longer times. It is to prevent the food decomposition and fermentation. Besides that, food preservation not only to prevent the food getting spoilt in a long period of time but also preserved the colour, taste and the food nutritive value. Nowadays, food preservation has become more and more important component in the food industry as the consumers expect that able to purchase those foods that are out of season or imported from other countries. Furthermore, there are few reason why food preservation is important in our daily life such as preservation foods when they are in season it may added variety choices in our meals for example smoke meats and
