. A. Cultural competence and diversity is one of the many code of ethic social workers comply by, which makes the term precisely imperative to the field of social work. One’s university and community can be inevitably diversity. To build cultural competence in my university, I would organize an Cultural fest; allowing students and professors from different countries, ethnic groups and communities to share a part (food, attire music etc.) of their background as it relates to the community or group they’re represent. I strong believe Hector and Celia would consider these policies since they are tailored to their specific needs. SNAP will assist Hector and his family to purchase adequate amount of food, TANF will Hector to provide the other basic needs for his family and CHIP will allow Hector to better maintain his hypertension and diabetes so that he’ll be able to work effectively on his job. I would suggest providing a wider spectrum with these programs in terms of eligibility. D. I think members of the government made these policies, with that being said I truly commend them for considering programs such as these to tailor to the needs of families who are in similar situations as the Sanchez family. These policies have allowed my clients to provide for their families and to take better care of their health. Three strengths she has that could help her meet her need are: • Support from her sister who seems to care about Carla very much, Anna can perhaps convince and seek the help Carla needs to properly function. • Carla has the support of Loretta who lost her husband and who sympathizes with Carla and knows what Carla is going through.
