Without cars ,planes and transportation we wouldn't be able to get anywhere fast or at all. Cars make things a lot easier when you're on a road trip you can have fun in them by laughing and talking. Also cars are not exhausting without cars we would walk everywhere and then tired and you don't have to stop but only if you need to get gas. Planes are great because you are in the air and then nothing to stop you get no traffic or anything they're extremely fast at flying long distances. I am so thankful for houses and shelters we would be living on the streets if it weren't for houses. They keep us warm and comfy they're great for safety. After long day of work go home and relax and the a little TV. Great for storing food in the refrigerator which is powered by your house also you have a kitchen which you can cook all of you food. What is a family? People you’re related to? People you live with? According to Webster.com, it is a combination of those things. However, this definition could vary depending on who you ask. The meaning of family has changed over the years. Divorce and remarriage, single families, same-sex marriage, new family roles, and technology are just a few factors that have changed the way we interpret and define of family.
Common curtesy has us saying “Thanks” to the point that we may have lost the intentions associated with the response. W.S. Merwin sums up this anomaly in his poem “Thanks”, saying “with nobody listening we are saying thank you” (Merwin 29). We say thanks for so many meaningless things that it no longer carry’s the true intent of the speaker. Instead it is a response to acknowledge the receiver rather than giving true thanks. This repetition allows for questions regarding what are we truly thankful for, and how we make this known to the receiver. Carl Dennis, in his poem, “Thanksgiving Letter From Harry”, struggles with this question. Not seeing himself thankful for all the negative atrocities around him, he tries to find something he can stand up and be thankful for with limited success, “I’m, thankful today I don’t reside in a country/My country has chosen to liberate” (Dennis 2-3). Generic overuse of such a simple, but meaningful word, has made saying “thanks” somewhat mundane, making it harder to express their gratitude to the receiver seamlessly.
giving thanks. For the freedom earned, for the sacrifices made, and the dreams that we
During thanksgiving I really like to reflect on everything I have and it’s just a great way to remind myself to be more generous and to hold what and who I love dearly and show them that I care about them. Especially during this time of year when everything can be very stressful with the end of the semester and some mid terms, it gives me a chance to think on the less fortunate who don’t even get an education and would love the chance to get what I have. I’m so thankful for my availability to music and the abundance of caring people in my life with so many opportunities for me right at this moment. I realize that a lot of people take everything they have for granted and honestly everyone does this from time to time, I really like to just bluntly tell people that I care about them and that I’m thankful for them to be in my life at this point, even if it's just to remind myself to be more grateful towards them. Just think about what you have and be grateful for the good
It is not about the war or the violence in this imperfect world. On this day, we are to show our appreciation for the people who risk their lives for their beloved country. Most of us can't even imagine what profound sacrifices they make to protect our freedom. Our everyday lives and normal routines would be greatly disturbed constantly if it weren't for them. That is why we owe so much to them.
Family means appreciation to me because me and my mom during February break went to New Jersey and on the way there we went through New York City. I told her that I would love to go to NYC on our way back through to my favorite state, Maine. Then we got to out of the tunnel under water in New Jersey and were getting on the New Jersey Pike. In the tunnel I asked her, " what if we saw the Statue of Liberty?" She then said, "get the camera ready just in case." So while I was getting it ready we were going to the top of the bridge and in the distance there was a bright light on a statue. We both looked at each other and she started to cry. I said, "I can't get a picture. We went by to fast." She said, "I'm proud to be an american, I love you so much Cole." I was trying not to look at her because I cry when she cries. We passed a sign that said Welcome to New Jersey. On our way back home she said "ready for New York City." I responded with "YES!!!" So we went on a ferry around New York City Harbor. We got so close to the Statue of Liberty that Lady Liberty looked like she was hug, like 500 feet tall. My mom said, "Thank you of making me come here, Cole. I love you. Even though I'm never coming back here there's way to many people." She was appreciative of me making her go to New York City. That is why family means appreciation to
I would personally like to thank each and every one you except my dad who has granted me only 5 minutes to cover the past 21 years of my life. What a life I have lived so far. It has been filled with so many different memories and experiences – many of which would not of been possible without the incredible help of my parents. Just like any parent does – they didn’t want me to miss out on any opportunity that I was given, so they always made sure to make it happen.
It is important to be thankful because it gives thanks to people. It also shows courtesy and politeness to the person you are saying thanks to. Being thankful shows appreciation for little or big things and it's out of respect to the other person by saying that the whole world does not revolve around you and that everyone is equal. I am thankful for my grandparents, family, and my talent of soccer.
Big or small, write down as many things you can for which you are truly grateful. This should bring genuine feelings of gratitude in you otherwise it is of no use.
Mouthwatering , cold, dripping ice cream is the perfect thing to be thankful and that is why I’m thankful for it. On a really hot day just eat ice cream to cool you down. When I taste the delicious creamy vanilla ice cream I feel like I’m in Heaven. There are tons of things to be thankful for. I’m really thankful for the briny, sandy, warm, superb beach I wish I could inhabit there. My Grandma and Grandpa lives in Florida and I get to go visit them and when we’re at the beach and when I see the seagulls they look very happy they even sound happy. There are tons of things to be thankful for. Let me notify you some of those things I’m thankful for.
I think being thankful is very important. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. If you are thankful for things it makes you appreciate them more that way. For example, if I wasn’t thankful for my house than I would seem very greedy because not everyone has a nice house to live in. It's good to be thankful so that you know how lucky you are. There is always something to be thankful for. Im thankful for my grandparents, my family and my dog.
The definition of family is question that can often come up. How does someone define family? Is it through genetics and the sharing of memories and experiences? Living in the same residence? Or is it the people that you know you can always count on to provide constant support? The people you know you can get into an all out brawl with but they will most certainly still love you?
I'm so thankful for you. You mean more to me than you can imagine or that words could ever describe. You are everything I could possibly want in a girlfriend, you're sweet, caring and so beautiful No matter what we do I always seem to have fun whether it's walking around Dollar Tree or whatever else we decide to go do. One of my most favorite things to do is cuddle I love holding you in my arms it just feels so right.
Everything you are & everything you own comes from God. In 1 Chronicles 29:14 David said “for all things come from you and of your own we have given you.” God created us and we need to be thankful for everything we are & everything He has given to us. Do you have a list of things that you are thankful to God for and that He has blessed you with?
Everyone seems to define family differently, however, the significance of family is the same. For you, family means everything. You can always count on your parents and siblings for help and love. Family is very valuable and important to you and should never be taken for granted. No one can deny that family is the foundation of our generation. A family is where we all start our life journey and helps us grow to be successful throughout our lives.
