STEM fields play a fundamental role in our society. The benefits that STEM fields bring are not limited to the fields themselves. The benefits are universal. All professional sectors can benefit from STEM. STEM fields offer a tool like no other. With them we can solve problems in any aspect of our society.
STEM fields are the epitome of pragmatic. The challenges that STEM fields solve are not the abstract day dreams of mathematicians, these are the challenges that sent a rover to far away planets, that build wonders of the world and that save lives. In any sector, STEM will have a strong influence. If you speak of politics, mathematics can predict which candidate will be chosen in the next election. If you speak of finance, technology gave

Not only in the halls of academia. Science is in the nature that surrounds us all. The colors of a crimson sunset are understood through science. The medicine that saved our loved one was developed by the scientific process.
Technology has grown exponentially in the past decades. We live in a time where is seems impossible to avoid technology. Technology was integrated itself into society. Humans have been figuratively augmented by the smart phone. Now we have at our fingertips the entire cumulative knowledge of humanity.
Engineering is the most effective tool that we have to build and do great things. We have stepped on the moon. We have created weapons that are capably of terrifying destruction. Engineers can turn what we think impossible into reality.
Mathematics is the beauty that lies not in the eye of the beholder. It is a beauty that can be appreciated by everyone. The mother of all sciences is Mathematics. The power of Mathematics is that it is the singular means by which we can discover objective truth.
If we want to receive the full benefits of STEM we must make sure that anyone who wishes to study on e of these fields have the opportunity to do so. STEM should not be dominated be a certain demographic of people. The problems that STEM solves need to be addressed by all types of
It was created in the 1990's by Judith A. Ramaley, to dive deeper into the subjects. It brings the four subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics together by using technology to create a way to practice, solve, and apply what has been learned. It was ceated to provide students with eduation and skills that would enable them to begin working directly after high school (Introduction to Teaching, 6th Edition). STEM schools have many pros to them. STEM schools provide greater job potential. In The Rising Popularity of STEM: A Crossroads in Public Education or a Passing Trend, Chen writes, "...The National Science Foundation estimates that 80% of the jobs available during the next decade will require math and science skills. InTech reports that according to 10-year predictions, by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 15 of the 20 fastest growing fields will require significant math and science preparation. The United States must produce workers proficient in these fields to stay at the cutting edge of science and technology throughout the 21st century..." (Chen. 2017). STEM focusses on what the job field is looking for, so they are preparing them to succeed. It provides greater job potential because it allows it's students to develop indenpendence skills, and it also focuses on helping students improve their critical thinking skills. Although overwhelmed with freedom at the begininning,
STEM is significant to our society, we need jobs not only to compete globally, but to also fix the important problems of the world. Technology is pervasive in almost every aspect of daily life, and as the workplace changes, STEM knowledge and skills grow in importance for a variety of workers (not just for mathematicians and scientists) (Traurig par. 6). If corporations increase female participation in the future, not only will it increase more genders and diversity to work in the corporation, but it will also help solve the important problems of the world because of all the minds that are working together. STEM is the future for this next generation as technology use is on the rise and more problems occur day by day. Remember when turning on the TV to show your daughter the commercials, that one commercial you showed can be the difference between her being interested in STEM or
There are lots of real uses of mathematics in our life. All the mathematics terms base on counting. There is no concept of business without mathematics. We cannot deny the importance of mathematics in our daily life. Wherever we go (for example when we want to purchase something in the market), we need mathematics. And nowadays, technology is very important in our daily life, hence its system used mathematical rules. So we cannot deny the importance of mathematics in real life.
In conclusion, by continuing to support stem cell research the benefits for the health and medical field would likely succeed. Less cells severe methods are used to treat diseases such as heart disease and wound healing. This research can solve many medical issues such as the low organ donations. Therefore, the medical field would be more efficient if stem cell research was more supported. Fewer people would die awaiting transplants, potentially reduce the morbidity and mortality for those awaiting transplants, more people would be cured for from diseases, new and more effective treatments.
More specifically, biochemistry, chemistry, and environmental science. Throughout middle and high school, I have taken part in school beautification projects and a member of clubs for environmental improvement. As for technology, I am most interested in computers and relating technological systems. Above all, I am most interested in biology and chemistry for many reasons. I love the questions they pose and the answers they provide. I love preforming labs and finding results for a certain prediction. I like learning specific concepts and then applying them to situations to prove them I am keen on the amount of math and algebraic concepts are used in chemistry. Moreover, I am interested in on quantitative results. I believe it is interesting how concepts and hypothesis can be proved by concrete (if preformed correctly), numerical data. I am interested in the large numbers that are used in biology and chemistry that make me feel small. The number of galaxies in the universe, how many millions of miles Pluto is located away from the earth, or even Avogadro’s number and how many moles there are on Earth. The boundless possibilities of what biology and chemistry can provide is what is so interesting to me. Through research, world problems can be solved, diseases can be cured, etc. Without studying these subjects, diseases would run rampant and much would remain unknown. The very functions of our body
We are bringing in more digital learning and investing more into the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) program. In order for students to succeed in the market place in the future, they will have to be able to think creatively, network as well as work with a team, and machines to figure out how they work in order to complete their job assignments.” https://youtu.be/dqHz33Q9XC4
In a world that is rapidly and simultaneously changing, professions that center on the field of Science and Technology are becoming a must. The world needs people that can bring up modern and new innovations. That is where engineers come in. Engineering is a great profession. With innovation, passion, objective, and leadership, engineers can help develop economical solutions to technical problems. Designing is the use of science and math to take care of issues. Engineers make sense of how things function and find down to earth utilizes for logical
One of the reasons why applied science is more beneficial is that it can be used to solve current problems the human race is currently facing. An example of this can be seen in the medical
Math is one of the basic elements, that everyone uses, in everything in the world. We cannot deny, everyone in the world also uses math every day in their daily life. How much do you have to pay for your taxes? What is the distance from point A to point B in miles? How much money have you spent today? Let’s face it math is everywhere, whether you like it or not. But other than that, you also need mathematics for Science, Architecture, Archaeology, Art and in so many other genres. You need it to calculate the height and breadth of a building, the area and perimeter of an area. You can use symmetry in math to create beautiful geometrical designs. The career I have chosen for my research, is Psychology:
In the 21st century, we live in the era of technology-driven world. Humans never stopped the development of technology, because we always have a natural tendency to pursue a higher level of human being. Technology is the best evidence of human intelligence, which has shown that we are different from other animals. We have lived with technology since we were born. Although it has intervened heavily in our daily lives that we can’t no longer live without, nobody can deny the achievements it has brought to us.
STEM is referred to science, technology, engraining and math. It helps the students to have a deep understanding of the content and develop other skills like problem solving, cooperation, creativity and communication, all these
Right now science education plays a very significant role in the improvement of the medicinal field. Hundreds of thousands of educated doctors in the US are helping patients with anything from the flu to cancer. It is not just doctors though: science education is enlightening kids to be researchers, scientists, and more. If science was not taught, this world would be full of unanswered questions and wrong answers. Science is so amazing that if we didn’t pass down this knowledge of what we have gained, all our hard work would be for noth...
ne of the strands under the Academic Track is the STEM strand. According to Morrison (2006) science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) has been called a meta- discipline, the "creation of a discipline based on the integration of other disciplinary knowledge into a new 'whole'. This interdisciplinary bridging among discrete disciplines is now treated as an entity, known as STEM (Morrison, 2006)." The STEM strand is the combination of other of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It created into a new whole because it has a connection with each other. Since the beginning of mankind, mechanical engineers have changed the world. From the alarm that wakes you up in the morning, to the light you turn off before you go to bed, all of these things are the result of mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering drives innovation and invention. I chose to become a mechanical engineer because I want to be apart of something larger than myself. Mechanical engineering has helped shape every great civilization. I want to help shape our society like those who came before us. Even if it is as small as designing a new screwdriver handle that's more ergonomic and cheaper to manufacture. Mechanical engineering is solving problems and developing new ideas to make our world a better and safer place.
