There are many conspiracy theories people don’t believe because they think they are silly, ridiculous, or outright crazy, but there are a few that make people concerned and have gained popularity. One of the most popular conspiracy theories around the world is about a secret organization called the Illuminati. Based on an article on “BBC” the Illuminati was first a secret society, which was founded in 1776, for individuals to join together and privately oppose the effect of religious and elitist influence. But According to “big think” the Illuminati is now said to be a group that is trying to form something called the New World Order which will destroy national boundaries and identities of people to make an authoritarian world government.
Another popular conspiracy theory contains the Illuminati society. The Order of the Illuminati was an Enlightenment-age secret society founded by university professor Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776, in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The movement consisted of advocates of freethought, secularism, liberalism, republicanism, and gender equality. In 1785, the order was infiltrated, broken up and suppressed by the government agents of Charles Theodore, However, there is no evidence that the Bavarian Illuminati survived its suppression in 1785 (“History of Beliefs”, 2006).
Conspiracy theories are entertaining for many to speculate and demand a great deal of thought to constitute. A conspiracy theory is defined as the idea that many important political, economic, and social trends are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public (“The Definition of Conspiracy Theory”). Many conspiracy theories are thought up around children’s shows, which offers a feeling of nostalgia and pleasure. A few children’s show conspiracies that need a deeper light shone on them are from Max & Ruby (2002-2013), Winnie the Pooh (1977), Rugrats (1990-2004), and All Grown Up (2003-2008).
The Order of the Illuminati plays apart in everyday life. As it is known for its conspiracies against the government, there are other known leverages that this secret society has. For example, one could be watching entertainment on celebrities such as: Beyonce, Celine Dion, Tupac, Led Zeppelin, Slayer, Pantera, Sublime, &c. As the cameras aim in their direction, someone begins to notice conspiracy-like lyrics about rebelling, hand symbols will be thrown up, and assumptions will begin to be made. The concept or belief that said people are associated with the Illuminati could either be completely bogus or misread. Due to modern day appeal, society correlates secret societies with Satanism. This is not completely accurate. Due to research and found articles from the past, studies have shown that these said occults were originally Jesuit based. The 18th Century Enlightenment period was full of philosophers that believed there were more to human morals than creationism. The flow of time, space, and factual based evidence influenced 18th Century philosophers. They were well-known to create their own societies based on scientific belief.
Do you believe in the moon landing conspiracy? There are various theories that skeptics compose to attempt to accuse NASA of faking the Apollo moon landings, although all these simple explanations will prove these theories wrong. The moon landing conspiracy was “claimed” to be a hoax since it was the only time the U.S. has ever landed on the moon was under Nixon’s administration, and the reason for this is after we finally made it to the moon the interest for the USSR else to make it there died out just like the flow of money that had been invested into the missions; skeptics attempt to say that it was faked since even with the technological advances we haven’t been back to the moon, but this is easily proven wrong by simply stating that the
Although, a society with such far-fetched motives can be easily dismissed as fanciful rumors, but because of strange hand-signs and symbols, the numerous conspiracy theories and its association with famous personalities it has become difficult to refute the claims of the existence of Illuminati.
There are many crazy and wacky conspiracy theories that are contrived every day. Conspiracy theories can be made up by anyone, especially in today’s technology driven society. It all becomes questionable when proof is bought into the matter. Although they are not always true, people will go out of their way to think up silly things that may prove it correct. There are loads of theories that are proven to be false. Carefully dissecting each detail within the theory is the only way to be for sure whether it is true or false. Among all of the interesting conspiracy theories, are the sinister messages found in the Wingdings font. When NYC is typed in the Wingdings font in Microsoft Word, a skull and cross bones, a Star of David, and a thumbs-up hand gesture appear. Many believe this signifies the approval of killing Jewish people from or in New York. There is also a theory that Microsoft planted a hidden message of the September 11, 2001 attack on the twin towers in their Wingdings font. There are claims of this being true, and many of it being false.
The Mafia is a secret criminal organization that has great economic and political control over large parts of Sicilian society and operates both criminal and legitimate enterprises in the United States. It is believed to have started during Sicily's late Middle Ages, beginning as separate bonds of strong-arm enforcers hired by local landowners. It eventually evolved into a network of independent groups governing in rural areas. With the Sicilian immigration of the late 19th century, the Mafia began to operate in several large United States cities. During the period of Prohibition it monopolized the trade in bootleg liquor and controlled loan sharking, gambling, and prostitution. Competing Mafia families established mutually recognized territories, reaching agreement by negotiation or by intimidation. By the mid-1930 the Mafia had taken on the institutionalized structure that is now typical of organized crime in the United States.
Everyone in the world believes in certain things. Some may believe one thing is real, others may believe it’s fake. Now this brings me to something that I think is a very intriguing topic. And that’s conspiracy theories. A person that believes in conspiracy theories is called a conspiracy theorist. Now, most theories are just crazy and stupid, but a few are reasonable and some are almost certainly true.
Although it is claimed that the illuminati is just a myth, however, there are a number of signs that point to the existence of this organized body which aims to control world affairs through means such as music, media, economy, politics, and education.
The illuminati are a real group that did exist at some point in history. Despite people not believing that it does exist at this time, the illuminati was a real group in the 18th century, the illuminati is a group created in Bavaria in the 18th century because it was supposedly aiming to limit the interference of the church in public life. This mysterious group supposedly controls everything in this planet from: finance, government, religion, and culture.
Since the beginning of settled civilizations, people have had more mutual sharings than ever before. By the same token, there have been some conspiracy theories that are usually against the culturally accepted beliefs of religions, science and society. A conspiracy theory can be described so differently. However, as in his text, Marshall Brain explicates, a conspiracy is generally defined as a theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act (Brain). Especially, after the new media has become quite popular, more and more conspiracies are theorized every single day, which aim to catch society’s attention via such media tools as the internet, journals and newspapers. Thus, people who theorize those conspiracies tend to use such objects as spiritual and mysterious ones in order to interest people. To illustrate, many examples can be given. For instance, many people have claimed that they were abducted by aliens, although they could show no evidences. Here, a citation from Blackmore could facilitate to understand the circumstance better. She states that people occasionally claim that they have been abducted from public places by aliens, in this case that may provide them with witnesses and affirmations but no evidence could be shown so far (Blackmore). As it is well known, only a small number of people believe such alien abductions, however, rating of this kind of news is quite high on media, because humankind has been wondering if there are extraterrestrial creatures out of the earth. Another example can be conspiracy theories which are about the origins of religions such as the rejection of Jesus Christ. There are some people who pay attention to...
Though the exact date on which the Freemasons originated is moot, evidence of Masonic activity dates back to the thirteenth century. Since the dawn of their existence, the activities of the Freemasons have been subject to controversy brought on by paranoia and fear of secret societies. Collations of people in opposition to Masonry have existed since the presidency of Andrew Jackson and have persisted ever since, the most recent form being conspiracy theorists. Numerous conspiracy theorists would have one believe that freemasonry is composed of secret meetings, ritualistic sacrifices, and plots for world domination, but just how much of this is actually true?
When people talk about the Illuminati, they are talking about the most secretive, powerful, wealthiest, influential, sneakiest, manipulated, greediest people on the earth. It was a group formed in Germany 1776 in order to rule the world with their wealth and power (“Illuminati” 1). Recently it has been on everyone’s mind, but why? It is being exposed more and more every day. They are trying to take over our nation. “The infamous Illuminati secret society has remained the focus of so-called ‘conspiracy theorists’ for hundreds of years. They have been called the puppet masters who secretly pull the strings of the world’s events from elections to revolutions, and from business monopolies to stock market crashes” (Dice 1). People are completely oblivious of the Illuminati or chose to not believe this is going on behind closed doors. However, there are some people who do believe and are aware of what they are capable of. The Illuminati is harmfully corrupting our nation through the government, specialty groups, and celebrities.
The most popular conspiracy theories that surround the Freemasons are that they designed the pyramids, plotted the French Revolution and they are continuously trying to keep the flame alive for the Knights Templar. Even though most of these theories seem unrealistic and are unable to be proven to be true people still believe that the Freemasons are behind the majority of these events. However, the Masons themselves even believe these rumors to be over dramatic and extremely false. For example, an ex member of the Freemasons, Sammy Lapoint stated, “From everything I’ve witnessed as a Freemason, there is no grand conspiracy. The whole notion that the so-called “Illuminati” and Freemasons are behind everything is absurd and intellectually lazy (Lapoint). Through this statement the conspiracy theories and predictions about the Masons seem even more unrealistic and false due to the fact that an ex Mason is even talking about that as if they are ludicrous assumptions. To add, another ex mason statded his opinion on of the conspiracy theories and secrecy behind the Masons by exslaping, “ A secret society tries to hide the fact that it exists. Masonic Lodges are marked with signs, listed in the phone book, and their meeting places and times are usually listed in the newspaper. Members identify themselves with pins and
The first paradigm or model is the conspiracy theory also known as the Cosa Nostra theory or Cressey Model (Hagen, 2013). It is thought that there is a group of 24 Sicilian and Italian families in the United States that make up the crime syndicate that we commonly know or refer to as the “mafia”. In numbers these families could be as big as 700 people or as little as 20 (Hagen, 2013). The structure of the group resembles
