Because of Them I have learned one lesson from my life, that I shall never forget. Hard work and dedication will always pay off. I carry this throughout my life, and in everything I do. I work hard when I go to my job, school, and while training my horses and puppy. It is a life lesson that everyone should have, but few obtain. I, on the other hand, believe that I do my best and dedicate myself to everything that matters. To me, those things would be my horse, puppy, work, and school. I learned at an early age that horses were hard work. We got our first pony when I was five. He was a fluffy Shetland/Welsh, who was always looking for treats. Over the years, we have gained and traded many horses. I had to be dedicated to riding and training …show more content…
Whether it be winning money on a Tuesday night barrel race in Verndale, or being the 2D champion at Race for the Roses, I know that my hard work is to credit for the astounding actions of my horses. Horses taught me to be dedicated and to never give up. This past year, one of my horses was horrible with tipping barrels over. Day after day, drill after drill, I worked with him to move his body out and around the barrel. The last show I brought him to proved how much I worked with him. We ran perfect runs and won money. I have a 4 year old mare. Her name is Lulu, and she is an off the track thoroughbred. When I first got her, she was frantically running around crazy. She was a nervous wreck from being on the track. She knew absolutely nothing about barrels much less knowing how to be a good horse. After one year, she can now lope a full correct barrel pattern and stand calmly when asked. Horses have been a part of my whole life, and they have taught me a valuable lesson. Hard work, dedication and patience will be with me always because of them. Another perfect example of hard work is raising a puppy. I had wanted a puppy so bad, but my mom told me it would be too much to handle. Of course, I did not believe
One main idea of this book was that with the right mindset anything is possible. This is proven in the book when Louie is in the concentration camp and has to hold up a large piece of wood while having the Japanese guards stare at him. This shows that he had the mindset that he could outlast the guards and that he could overcome any obstacles in life.

With over nine million types of horses in the United States, the need for quality health care for the horses has never been stronger. It’s certain that more equine veterinarians than ever before will be needed in the years to come to provide the care that owners want for their horses. According to the American Association of equine practitioners (AAEP), nearly half of the equine veterinarians are involved with performance horses(44.8%). The AVMA’S most recent employment survey of 2016 indicated that there were about 3,874 veterinarians in exclusively equine practice, with and additional 4,177 involved in mixed practices.
In the beginning of the summer, the pony would not move at all or go really slow when asking him to run the barrel pattern. After many attempts of trying to get the pony to walk with me on top of him, he finally started to get more confidence and knew that I would not let him run into anything while on him. During training, the pony knew the arena well enough so he would not bump into anything. After building up speed and getting better times, I thought that we were back in barrel racing. I entered the pony and I in the minnesota rodeo.
Riding encourages a child to work with their hands, exercise, and connect with horses and people of all ages, gain confidence, and learn new skills. Courtnee Niggel, an instructor summarizes how “A six year old child was told she will never walk again but after years of equine therapy she is now able to walk with a walker or by holding on to the sides of walls” (Niggel 1). Equine Therapy leaves a child with amazing results and changes their life drastically all the way from growing social skills to helping with motor skills, even to
Everyone thinks barrel racing is a boring, girl, rodeoing event. It is not. Barrel racing is a fun, exciting, not just a girls rodeo event. I am going to tell you a story about how barrel racing changed a girl’s life and how she changed the sport of barrel racing. I am going to tell you about Amberley Snyder. She was in an accident and she thought she was never gonna be able to ride her horses again and not even barrel race. But Snyder never gave up. She knew that if she gave up, she would never be happy again. She didn't not gave up. She helped work with her horses to make it so she could ride again. She practiced very hard in order for her to barrel race again. She never gave up. She thought about giving up, but she never gave up.
been the same way. My mom and dad taught me since I was a child was to work hard and never give up
I have always had a passion for animals. As a young child, I was convinced I constantly needed new animals, but we never had the space to care for them. In an effort to fill my desire to be involved with animals, my mom decided to sign me up for English horseback riding lessons. Although I never really believed I would enjoy English riding, I went to the horse barn about two times a week to practice. Over time, I learned to enjoy the sport and I created a bond with the horse I rode; he became my best friend. We went to competitions almost every single weekend and I won multiple awards. When my parents separated I had to stop competing. I was devastated to leave the behind the horse I had grown to love, however, I knew that this would not be the end of my future with animals.
Horses are not just beasts to take care of, there are benefits to owning them, riding them, or even just being around them. You will of course learn to love horses, and they will probably love you, too, if you treat them kindly. Similarly, you learn the responsibility of being around horses and how to take care of them properly. Also, you can have pride in you or your horse's accomplishments, your riding skills, or knowing how to be around horses and having experience with them. If you are around horses, you have much to tell and share!
These three lessons were the most significant things I’ve learned while attending school. From kindergarten rules all the way to beginning the road to finding myself. Spending more than half of my life in school I’ve dealt with failure, achievement, and everything in between. I’ve learned great life-lessons that have impacted me greatly not just for the time being, but
This was the lesson I learnt from my father, an unceasing learner and a person who would never give up no matter how many and how difficult the obstacles may be. Having understood from him that success is a moving target, the years of my life with my family have inculcated in me a desire to achieve perfection.
I quickly learned at a very young age the value of hard work. Both of my parents had worked hard to achieve their dreams of a nice home, cars, and financial stability. Their working hard not only paid off financially, but they taught my two brothers and I, that working hard was imperative to life. I was given a set of chores and an allowance every week, which taught me responsibility and how to manage money. I also realized that cooperation goes hand in hand with hard work. My brothers and I would help each other with our chores from time to time. I did not know that cooperation works on a larger scale in the workplace, that sometimes one needs help to achieve their ultimate goal.
There are numerous lessons that I have learned from life, they were lessons that I learned from good and bad experiences in life. Different experiences from school and out of school that has made me the way I am today. There is a long list of experiences that in reality did not teach me much.
Wednesday, October 13, 2013 is a date I will never forget. On that day, time stopped for a moment. I was sixteen and only had my license for a month. I was so excited about having so much freedom, that I was driving every day, with no hesitation. I was invincible,or so I thought. This day changed my thinking completely. What started out as a normal day, quickly turned into one that was very different from any other. I had just gotten out of cheer practice and was on my way home. On the way, I realized that I needed gas, so I decided to go through South Carolina, since they have the lowest gas prices. It was not out of the way, so to say. It was just another rout home. It was not the first time I had taken this way, but, it was definitely the last.
