From nail biting to obsessive compulsive disorder, these issues can be alleviated through hypnosis. While hypnosis may not be able to cure the condition in every case, it can lessen the anxiety and stress that are causing these negative behaviors. In addition, hypnosis works with the subconscious mind to improve self-confidence, positivity and relaxation. By improving these feelings, you can reduce the severity and incidence of bad habits.
Studies have shown that hypnosis can be helpful for conditions like ADHD, dyslexia and bed wetting. In a 1975 study, hypnosis was shown to help 75 percent of children with dyslexia. They were able to say their words better, recognize them quicker and modify their behaviors. Hypnosis can improve ADHD by improving the child's ability to focus on a problem at hand and ignore distractions. When it comes to bed wetting, hypnosis can help to overcome the passive rebellion that is causing children to wet their beds at night.

I am a 15 year old student from Waukon High School in Iowa, and I wanted to talk to you about child abuse. I think that child abuse is a terrible thing, and the people that do it should be sent away for a long time. The people that do it are terrible people because they abuse children that did not do anything to them. They should never gain their right to see their children, or be able to go near any children, and be with them by themselves, or with anybody else that wants to hurt children. The people that hurt the innocent children should be questioned and accounted guilty for child abuse. They could not be ruder and treat the children with more disrespect than they already do.
Hypnosis is very similar to daydreaming. When a person is daydreaming, they alter their state of consciousness. The same occurs when a patient is put into a hypnotic trance. The patient remains conscious and aware enough to hear, talk and make decisions, but are unaware of all outer distractions.(King) The patient concentrates on a specific goal they would like to achieve using hypnotherapy. This process allows the patient to set their mind on the addictions and overcome their problems.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based practice in the treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders for young children. This family centered treatment approach emphasizes on improving the quality of the parent-child relationship and changing parent-child interaction patterns. During PCIT, therapists coach parents via one-way mirror while they interact with their child. The therapist teaches the caregiver strategies that will promote positive behaviors in children who have disruptive or externalizing behavior problems (Child Welfare Information Gateway, 1). The use of live- coaching helps the parent gain strategies in the moment, and allows the therapist to see the different dynamics of the parent-child relationship.

Intervention techniques The most common interventions for students with ADHD include psychotropic medications and behavioural strategies implanted at school and the home. Although stimulant medications are used to address the symptoms, pharmacological treatment is not sufficient to address the problem in most cases. Another antecedent based strategy used for students with ADHD is to reduce task demands by modifying the length of the assignment; this may reduce the disruptive behaviour shown by learners
