Hybrid Cars: A green alternative. Since the early 1900’s, car manufacturing made a revolution in the history of technology. The concept of the car became the most adequate way of transportation throughout years. As technology advances and engineers investigate further their researches, they have been able to develop the most sophisticated cars on many levels: performance, design, safety...Nowadays, unfortunately, the problems related to pollution and environmental issues are on a critical rise, questions concerning the threatened environment grabs the whole world’s attention in order to find a solution. One of the major problems is the emissions produced by the cars used all over the world which are detrimental to Earth and are progressively causing global warming and an abnormal climate shift. As a result of growing environmental concerns, engineers have concentrated their efforts in order to find a new approach for this problem; and the result was quite fascinating: The hybrid electric car (HEV). “A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that uses an on- board rechargeable energy storage system and a fuel based power source for vehicle propulsion. These vehicles use much less fuel than their counterparts and produce fewer emissions”. Jeffrey Orloff (2014) (Para1). With this amazing innovation, scientists have regained confidence for the imminent future considering the hybrid car the new successor for the fuel based car and the solution for the contemporary issues. The Hybrid car is an effective way of transportation to minimize pollution and to reduce energy consumption and traffic problems. Hybrid cars are environment friendly due to their eco-friendly structure and fewer emission ability. According to the Union of Conc... ... middle of paper ... ... not made the balance, the hybrid car seems to be a promising innovation in the history of car manufacturing. After all, the conservation of energy and the reduction of pollution into our natural environment has been an everyday issue for our government for years and it will still be a major issue for years to come. Hybrid car is the green alternative to save the non-renewable sources of energy and the potential threat of global warming, the change from fuel to electricity must begin soon from the help of governments. A change is vital, and hybrid cars have cut their way to the green transportation revolution. But, how will the poor countries benefit from that change? Supposing that a big number of emissions are produced in these countries, does that mean environmental problems are still hard to solve?
