The overall process of using Mymajors.com was very strenuous, in the sense that there was a lot of questions. The results of the suggested careers were not surprising, but they also didn’t appeal to me that much. I knew based on my answers , that it would think I wanted a job with mathematics, however that’s just not the case (sounds boring). My final conclusion was not swayed by the research. My interest remains in the HVAC field, military, and really any job that provides fair to good pay, and benefits. I would like to do more research on Jefferson College. A career as an HVAC tech is what i’m most likely to pursue. This career seems right for me because it’s hands on, in particular a job that won’t be too stressfull mentally. The job is “to repair, install, service, and maintain the operation of heating, air conditioning and refrigerator systems”, according to MyMajors.com, and that field intrigues me (www.mymajors.com) . Additionally, I can get a job quickly, and in term, get a place, and be stabilized quickly. My google maps states, I’m 19.6 mi from Jefferson college (www.google.com) .Being close to home means living at home, low gas prices, and a short drive. In addition, Jefferson College teaches (trains) the profession (HVAC) i’m interested in. MyMajors.com brought Jefferson College, when I typed in HVAC (jeffco.edu.web) . Also, the A+ program pays for the program. My school is connected to Jeff Co.’s college.
