One of the most difficult problems to alleviate in society is hunger. There are so many people suffering from this unacceptable problem in today’s society. Hunger seems to be an everlasting problem that affects the majority of people in the world. It causes many to die every day from this unnecessary issue. The inability for people around the world to access food is a growing problem that should not exist today.
There are too many countries facing hunger in the world. Most of these countries are undeveloped countries. One of the major reason people endure hunger is because too many people live in poverty. Macionis (2011), states human beings in absolute poverty lack nutrition necessary for health and long term survival (p.251). People living in poverty are more likely to lack the proper nutritional foods and become severely malnourished. This unfortunately will lead to the death of many people, sadly. The amount of families living under poverty levels are subjected to an insufficient amount of food and water in order to sustain them so they have the ability to live a healthy long life. …show more content…

Thus, resulting in many individuals falling victim to hunger. Many poor and barely developed countries don’t have the means to pull themselves out of poverty levels or to feed their people. This is a shame because millions of people waste food every day in other highly developed countries. Macionis (2011), states that rich nations can export high-tech farming methods to poor nations to help increase their agricultural yields (p.259). This would be an exceptional help to end hunger around the world. If other countries have the means to help reduce or even end hunger then why not! Hunger should not be just one person’s/ countries issue it needs to be addressed as a world issue that everyone should take part in to
