To Begin, there are many people who I would like thank for having the opportunity of being here today. I would like to begin with our fellow classmates and FPS alumni. I cannot explain fully in words what all of you mean to me. With you I’ve shared some wonderful, funny, and enjoyable experiences. Next we should thank all our teachers, coaches, and the Mr. Furtah. We owe so much to all of you. You have been instrumental in our development. I am not going to miss the practices, or work, but I am going to miss how all that work and practice helped me become smarter, stronger, and a better person. I’m definitely going to miss the times Coach Tiff, Ms. Powell, Ms. Renee, Ms. Diaz, and “The Whitley’s” told me that they were really proud of the progress I had made. As a famous American author and adventurer, Ann Bancroft, said “I'm lucky I had some teachers who saw something in me. “Thank you again. Next we must give thanks to our families. Especially me! Thank you to my entire Worsham family. Shout out to Grandma, Pops, and my Dad! Classmates, I …show more content…
I know you are all asking “did I, Andrejs Worsham ask you to be humble.” Shocking Right! Now I’m not saying that I want you all to walk home with your heads down or not be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished. No, but what I am asking you to do is to never forget where each one of you came from. Never forget that there are people less fortunate than us in the world. Never think they are any less than us simply because they enjoy fewer privileges than we do. With the intelligence and education God has given us and the morals given to us by our families, we have the power to do good. Even Lil Wayne once said “I am very humble, and I am very gracious and very grateful for everything that happens to me and about me and around me.” My fellow classmates, remember that the actions of a person with modesty are guided not by money or prestige, but by the
Welcome to all of you who have come to share this special evening with us. My name is John and I am a member of the graduating class of 2012. Standing here tonight is a surprise to me and to many who knew me. At one point, after making some mistakes and losing my sense of self, I dropped out of school. With my parents’ urging me, I enrolled at Alternative High School. I came to this school with the hope that I’d graduate on time. I knew that I would have to change, so I set goals to achieve perfection and I achieved it. As many of you may know, I am now perfect in every way, shape, and form...
During my time here I have met some of the most intelligent, friendly, and inspiring people I know within our schools walls; including meeting some of my best friends. For examples Stone Brackett, never have I met someone as intelligent as this man; Katie McLaughlin, she is the sweetest girl I know; Glenn O’Neil, without this gentleman our football team would still be in the bottom of the league. These are just some of the hundreds of different teacher and students who will be missed by myself and many. As we move on I will never forget the impact each and everyone has made on me. Mr. Calderwood, my Seaman Middle School eighth grade history teacher said, “Whether you like it or not, you have impacted my life and I have impacted yours”(Calderwood), which I believe is a perfect example of everyone’s inevitable impact on each
Good Morning Mrs. Bagheri, Miss Hebestreit, teachers, staff, and fellow graduates of the Class of 2016. We are gathered here today to commemorate our time here at Saint Catherine Labouré School. We, as students, have been graciously granted with amazing teachers who have been there every step of the way during our elementary and middle school years. Now the time has come, everything we have been taught and shown at Saint Catherine's will finally pay off and carry us through our high school careers. Now it is the time for us to shine, the time when your dreams are in reach and possibilities, vast.
Welcome friends, family, and the graduating class of 2016. I am honored to stand here before you to give this final address, even if mine is not the “final” address since Letitia and Hailey will also present their speeches, but I digress. I am so thankful for everyone who helped me, helped us get this far - whether you’re a teacher, parent, or one of the 28 friends I see before me who I have come to know and love these last few years. I would also like to thank those who are in attendance today. You show how much you care for us by your presence, and I’m sure every student here is just as glad as I am to have you with us on this remarkable day.
First of all, I'd like to welcome all the parents, relatives and friends, on behalf of the senior class. It has been a long, hard road to graduation and I know your presence here is greatly appreciated. My job as salutatorian is to reminisce on our past here at County High, a past that reads like a script of a soap opera.
Semanovich and Mrs. Mahiaini for what they’ve done. I want to thank Coach Cam, even though we don’t like the dreaded mile, for making us stronger and bringing discipline into our lives. Thank you Mrs. Miller for staying with us for all our Water of Life years. I enjoyed being in Mouse Squad with you and especially loved putting the computer together. I’d also like to remember the people who have left the school.
Class of 2012, as we sit here this evening, I would like you to take a look at the classmates sitting around you. Many students have given countless hours of time, energy, and passion to worthy cuases that they have been a part of throughout high school. However, those aren't the only students deserving of recognition this evening. We have students here tonight, who have taken a stand for what they believe in, not even hesitating to compromise their reputations.
Today, as we graduate, with degree nearly in hand, I challenge each of you to make a difference in whatever you do. Remember that life didn't end when we re-entered school. Life continued throughout our program. Even when stretched to the limit, life only got more challenging. And now, graduating, life only changes pace. Our degree completion is not really an ending as much as a new beginning as we re-enter our lives of work and home. We thank all of our family, friends, instructors and co-workers who helped see us through this process. Thank you for this opportunity and good luck to you all.
The opportunities offered me during my four years at County High have been amazing. I have begun to understand all the potential I have to live life. I don't believe it takes a trip abroad to realize all we take for granted here in Hometown, USA. However, amongst the clutter that fills our lives, seldom do we choose to stop and reflect. Today is one day we intentionally set aside for the sentimentality we rarely experience. In only a few months, many of the graduates in front of you will leave home for universities, travel, or jobs. Today is not only your day to acknowledge our accomplishments, but also a time for us to acknowledge all you have given us.
Now I would like to take the time to thank everyone who has helped me get this far. First of all, thank you to all the teachers. None of us would be here without you always pushing our academic abilities to the fullest. Jessica Parker a.k.a. my partner in crime as Mr. Tri would refer to us. You made everyday coming to school worthwhile. Hillary Laswell, who would leave third period to go steal flowers from horticulture and give them to Mrs. Granillo with me. My brother Jeramie who always said, "If anyone is mean to you, I'll take care of it." My Mom, thank you for always believing in me and putting up with me when I was a real jerk.
Al and I want to thank you all for coming today to share this special day with us. It means a lot to us to have our dear family and friends here.
Good afternoon everyone, thank you so much to all of you guys to come here to celebrate the happy of the graduation class. It my pleasure to be here to deliver this speech. Not only the campus is beautiful but the atmosphere around the campus is second to none. All the student, Professor, Faculty and staff are the nicest people I have ever meet.
My reputation at Our Lady of Victory has grown and changed since I was 3 years old and started attending school here. Since this is my last year at OLV, I have been considering my legacy here. What will teachers and students say about me when I’m gone? Will I make it into one of Ms. Hall’s infamous stories? Will they think of the shy, little girl who was scoffed at or the strong independent girl I’ve come to be? I hope that I will be remembered as an intelligent, outgoing student who stayed out of trouble. I also hope that people will remember my optimism and leadership. This leads me to think about the remarks that will be m...
Today we are gathered here to celebrate our graduation from 12 long years of schooling. The education granted to us has been a privilege. One so graciously given to us by the citizens of our state, by our community, and by our parents. Today would not be possible without them.
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
