Welcome friends, family, and the graduating class of 2016. I am honored to stand here before you to give this final address, even if mine is not the “final” address since Letitia and Hailey will also present their speeches, but I digress. I am so thankful for everyone who helped me, helped us get this far - whether you’re a teacher, parent, or one of the 28 friends I see before me who I have come to know and love these last few years. I would also like to thank those who are in attendance today. You show how much you care for us by your presence, and I’m sure every student here is just as glad as I am to have you with us on this remarkable day.

We really were moving up in the world now. No more cubbies for us, now we have lockers and even passing periods between classes. And even… hormones. Yes, the wonderful years of adolescents are troublesome for all growing children, not just us in Suring. Now we get to deal with acne, voice cracks, and hair in strange places. Some of us even had neat afros, and no Letitia I am not singling you out.

Of course the work in Junior High only got tougher. Portfolios, essays, homework, studying for tests, it was all there. But we never let it get to us. We still found ways to mess with each other, like after our 8th grade gym class. It was a pretty eventful day when Ms. Krushcke threatened to issue 3 detentions, one for Bob hanging on the basketball hoop, another for Parker pantsing Bob on the basketball hoop, and finally one for Mark for playing with an ice chipper. Mark somehow got away scot free, like he normally does. Bob and Parker, however, were not as
