Brothers and sisters, do you have any idea—do you have any notion or inkling whatsoever—of how much we love you? For 10 hours you watch, fixed on one face at this pulpit sequentially, but for those same 10 hours, we seated behind this pulpit watch, fixed on you. You thrill us to the center of our soul, whether that be the 21,000 here in the Conference Center, or multitudes in meetinghouses and chapels, or finally millions in homes around the globe, perhaps huddled around a family computer screen. Here you are, there you are, hour after hour, in your Sunday best, being your best. You sing and you pray. You listen and you believe. You are the miracle of this Church. And we love you. What another remarkable general conference we have had. We have
When Kyle first asked me to be his best man, I thought it would be a terrific honour,
When the church first started growing the believers were few and shared everything. And there was not much need for deacons. But as time went on a need for deacons was identified. First th...
Fundamental to the Christian faith is the concept that the God of the Bible is a personal and active deity. Empirical and biblical evidence specifically directs the diligent researcher to the irrefutable verification that the Bible portrays God as dynamically involved with His creation. Scripture expresses His love and desire is that all humanity comes to know Him (2 Pet. 3:9 [KJV]). Furthermore, the Bible teaches that the Christian believer has a vigorous and personal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5, 8:26-28). The contemporary pastor equipped with holy doctrine and intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, becomes a conduit to declare the message of Christ to the world.
As I consider the various lessons that I have comprehended in this course further advances my calling to be an observer for the Lord. I acknowledge that an unadulterated life focused in a steady love of the Lord and a reliable sharing of my constant faith is important to satisfy the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. I have understood that my reverential life, the act of sharing my faith and administering to the lost has melted away and is conflicting.
The sound of Sunday morning hymns faded into the background as I walked out of the doors of Saint Agatha-Saint James Church and headed toward the rectory. I found Father Jim McGuinn, the local priest and pastor of University City, waiting in his office, just as he promised he would be after mass. He greeted me with his usual warmth, and we sat down to begin the interview. I began with an open-ended question: “In what ways do you, as a priest, see yourself as a healer in our community?” I watched him process the question for a few moments, very carefully contriving his wording so as to not misrepresent the Catholic Church. Over the course of the next hour he would give me his answer. This answer would lead me to view the role of faith-based healing in a much larger context than I ever previously had.
Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen - My name is Steve and this is my partner in crime, Scot. We are the best men today, famed for our double act. Some people may even say we were artists, but I think you'll all realize what kind of artists we are later on this evening.
The church must strive to have in place a biblical foundation to discipleship that relates to the millennial generation. All of the churches discipleship efforts should strive to build and foster authentic relationships. We are at a precarious point in the life of the church where the Christian community must come to a conclusion to rethink the efforts to making disciples. “Some (though not all) ministries have taken cues from the assembly line, doing everything possible to streamline the manufacture of shiny new Jesus-followers, fresh from the factory floor. But disciples cannot be mass-produced. Disciples are handmade, one relationship at a time.” In today’s culture the church needs new architects to design a way in which the local church community can foster and build authentic relationships that lead to discipleship.
Hope your week is going well, the reason I am writing this email to you is to express my thought about something. The other night at our Volunteer Christmas party, I introduced you to my husband Kirk to you and I committed to my husband you had met our son Kody, you referred to Kody as a “Church boy”. My husband and I both laugh, But the truth is, I could not stop thinking about why I introduced him to you, and John Bishop, and many other Elevators. It’s because who he has become and Elevation -Pastor Furtick has had 100% effect on my son and I credit GOD and Elevation for where he is today. My son had an opportunity to meet Pastor Furtick last summer and talk with him and express the impact his decision to do into ministries was because of his influence.
In one of his recent sermons, Pastor Fleurimond explicated on the grace of God’s love towards repentant sinners to discourage them from their immoral lifestyle, which was not only emboldening, but heartfelt. He made the speech more empathetic instead of the customary informative approach most preachers use, thus creating a more personal connection with the congregation. The sermon was so sincere and whole hearted, many members of the congregation was moved to dedicate themselves to God and ...

Introduction Being a member of a non-denominational church for over a decade, and a church-hopper several years before, I chose to interview Pastor Ruben, a twelve year Baptist pastor at the local church. During the interview, he provided insight into the church’s history, the church’s core values, the church’s beliefs as well as some of his own beliefs. In addition to this, we also discussed some of the problems and concerns of the church’s role within a modern day setting. Defining a Baptist Pastor Ruben describes the role of a Baptist pastor as one who is concerned about the relationship between mankind and Jesus Christ as well as the relationship between mankind and the Godhead. He said, “As a baptist, not just a pastor, it is my responsibility to share the message of Jesus Christ and proclaim the works of the living God among the people.”
He reminds us that it is about Jesus. If we are like many churches in America that care more about worldly attributes that make a church great vs caring about growing the kingdom of God than out “church” will fail.

Before I start my speech I would like to thank the Rotary Club, My teachers: Mr. Gonzalez, Mrs. Manuel, Ms. Soun and Mr. Bui, and My principal Mrs. Berry for recognizing me. When I was younger I believed in fairy tales, Fairies, Mermaids, Monsters and Magic, but trust me when I say I never thought I would get the honor to be in front of all of you talking about my plans for the future and what motivates me to be the best I can be everyday at school. My story starts at berlyn, I was at berlyn from kindergarten through second grade, and at the time my teachers did not motivate me to do well in school. Every single day I dreaded going to school because it didn’t benefit me in any way. However, in second grade we were given the G.A.T.E test, which I passed and soon was transferred to Edison Academy in 3rd grade.
“Everyone – pastors, laypeople, conference ministers, the whole congregation” must feel the presence of God in their life. If you do not have the sense that God is active in your life, it will be very difficult to share that with others. The second key Reese addresses is that all people “must be focused, minds engaged and open to see patterns, details, opportunities, changes and miracles.” People then must know what their roles are. People will have different gifts to share, however, “all faith, all reality, all love and any real movement comes from
