Friends, family, teachers Pastor and Mrs. Donley, thank you for being here today. I can’t thank you all enough for the things you’ve done for me and the ways you’ve all helped me in life. From all of the chapel messages I’ve heard from Pastor, all the English lessons from Mrs. Gerbitz, all the math lessons from Ms. Amy, especially the geometry, which I still don’t think I understand, and all the great times and life lessons I’ve learned from my classmates and friends, I can truly say I am thankful. Most of all, I’d like to thank my parents. Dad, you’ve always been there for me. If I ever needed advice on something I wouldn’t hesitate to go to you. You always knew what to say and when to say it to make me feel better. You taught me many different things in life, especially a great work ethic. Mom, what can I say? You’re my mom. As much as I may have annoyed you with different things I’ve done, you’ve always loved me and wanted what’s best for me. I love you both so much and can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for me. …show more content…
Up until then I had been homeschooled. Life seemed much simpler when I didn’t have to get up at a certain time early in the morning every day just to go to school, but somehow I adjusted. I remember that first year of school here as if it was just yesterday. I was just like the typical confused 7th grader except I was in 8th grade. I didn’t know where the classes were and I didn’t know when the classes were. I would just follow my classmates around until I learned the schedule which eventually happened and the school became a part of my life. The early mornings, the basketball games, the long road trips all became a part of who I am today. Those memories will stay with me for the rest of my
Firstly, I would like to thank Nick for his kind words on behalf of the bridesmaids and anyone else he mentioned. While I’m on the subject of gratitude, thanks also to Elite Golf Club and all the workers for a wonderful spread. Any chance of a golf membership?
Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen - I must admit, I am more nervous about participating in this wedding than I was as the groom (bridegroom) at my own wedding. Maybe it's because I have been married thirty years and I know what my son is getting himself in to!
Humorous Wedding Speech by the Best Man When Daniel came to me and asked me to be his best man, it was a great honour but, when I looked at all the duties required of me, I felt he’d be better off choosing someone else. Then he offered me a fifty, but I told him that it wasn’t a decision that money could change. So then he offered me a hundred. Anyway, good evening Ladies and Gentlemen - My name is Rob and it’s my pleasure to be Daniel’s best man today.
Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentleman – It’s my job to reply to the toast to the bridesmaids and in doing so, say a couple of nice things about George. You know, tell you about some of his good points. The problem is he doesn’t have any good points. Well, except for being naturally gifted at sports. We do, after all, come from the same gene pull.
They say marriage is an institution and therefore, it seems proper that I am about to be married since some of you have been saying I should have been institutionalized for years.
Ladies and gentlemen, you are about to witness a unique event in history - the very first and last time that my wife is going to let me speak on behalf of both of us. It is a privilege and an honor to do so. I just hope that, so soon into our married life, I don't let her down.
To bring things to a conclusion, I'd like to thank you all for your attention. And if anyone hasn’t yet bought John and Sabrina a wedding present, I hear that they need a new shower rail for the bathroom. The last one, according to John, 'just fell off' – like they do.
Let me first say that the bridesmaids look absolutely smashing today, and only rightly outshone by our bride, Pamela. And, I'm sure you'll agree with me gentlemen, today is a sad day for single men, as another beauty leaves the available list. And ladies, I'm sure you'll agree that today's passing by without much of a ripple.
So, if you would like to place all of the gifts that you have brought with you, (particularly the valuable ones), in the back of the green rental van, registration S653 GFR, I will personally ensure that they receive them. I promise.
I started homeschooling when I was in the 4th grade. I had been public school before my mom decided to take me out. At the time public schools in Memphis had a program called “No child Left Behind”. Sadly I was the child that got left behind due to me being very ill. In the early semester of my 4th grade year I was hospitalized with an enlarged spleen and I was in the hospital for weeks. When I finally was able to go back to school my teacher did not help me get back on track. The teacher was even considering not letting me proceed to the next grade. So that was the day my mom decided her baby “Me” was not going to suffer in public schools any longer. It was a big change for me. Adjusting to being at home all the time from being in a public school environment was definitely different. I missed being around friends and going to music class.
Now I would like to take the time to thank everyone who has helped me get this far. First of all, thank you to all the teachers. None of us would be here without you always pushing our academic abilities to the fullest. Jessica Parker a.k.a. my partner in crime as Mr. Tri would refer to us. You made everyday coming to school worthwhile. Hillary Laswell, who would leave third period to go steal flowers from horticulture and give them to Mrs. Granillo with me. My brother Jeramie who always said, "If anyone is mean to you, I'll take care of it." My Mom, thank you for always believing in me and putting up with me when I was a real jerk.
Good evening everyone, I would like to thank you all for coming today to share in this special occasion. Thank you Stephen for his toast to the delightful bridesmaids, who look absolutely stunning. I would also like to congratulate the lucky couple, Stephen and Vanessa.
Ladies and gentlemen, thanks Gary for those kind words. It has been a pleasure for all us attendants to play a small part in your big day. Before I say a word or two about the groom, what about that dress Jeanie is wearing? It has attracted so much favorable comment from the guests here that I have to give it a special mention. You look stunning Jeanie!
My education began in fifth grade, my parents moved from one location to another. It wasn’t easy for me, because school was the first place I ever got to interact with other kids. Before school started, I was pretty much kept indoors and not allowed to have contact with other people, except for my family members.
