"Try not to puke on your dress." I laughed, watching soon to be Mrs. Cowell. The bride and I were in the bridal room located somewhere in the church. Hairdressers and makeup artists were scattered throughout the room putting away their supplies. Lauren didn't want to waste time running all over Hawaii. "You're not funny, Aud." She said, rolling her eyes in the process. "I'm just trying to take your mind away from the fact that you're gonna be a married woman in a few minutes." I exclaimed. I was still in shock that my sister was getting married; sure she already has a child with Simon, but being married is different. I was standing in my sister's wedding, not as the maid of honor, her best friend took that position, but as a bridesmaid. Seeing the months of planning that took place, I'm quite happy I'm just a bridesmaid. "You're really getting married, Laur," I fake …show more content…
Who wouldn't love to live and make music with their buddies? "What do you do Audreyana?" Brandon asked, this was the first time he spoke to me. His voice was raspy with just enough sweetness "I model sometimes; when I'm not doing that I'm working at a my mom's." I shrugged, it was nothing compared to their job but it was fun. My mom started her own flower boutique when I was 5, and I've been in love with it ever since. I started modeling during high school, just for fun. Apparently I was good at it. It was only last year when I was signed to Freedom Models in Los Angeles and NEXT Models in Miami. Although I was signed, I wasn't like Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid so I had some free time, which is why I still worked in the shop. We were soon interrupted when my dad came outside, telling us the bride and groom were about to leave off to their honeymoon. As we all walked inside, I could feel eyes stuck on the back of my head. When I turned around, Brandon and I made direct eye contact. Good lord, he was cute.
I took up my first job sophomore year of high school and have stuck with it ever since. I currently still work there, Enchanted Beach Weddings. In this job I work labor and I am also one of the head photographers. We set up beautiful weddings on the beach and then I am in charge of directing them and leading the bride, groom and everyone else through the wedding. While I am doing that, I am also taking the wedding photography. It is a super stressful job to have couple’s wedding day experience in your hands and control, but I have never had a bad experience with it and am so priveleged to be a part of such an important day for couples about 75 times each year. On the side of this job, I have always had a fun job to make a little extra money by work...
In Melton McLaurin’s book, Celia, A Slave, Celia faces the struggle for justice as an enslaved woman in central Missouri in the 1850s. Celia is at a major disadvantage during this time because of her identity as an enslaved woman. This disadvantage negatively impacted her social circumstances throughout her life, especially since rights were severely limited for her. Celia's status as both an enslaved person and a woman forced her to experience more injustice as she was unprotected from abuse and Missouri law. She stood no chance during her trial due to her “double burden” status.
For those of you that do not already know me I'm the bride's "slightly" older sister. When she first asked me to give her away I felt two things, the first was one of extreme and enormous pride that she'd asked me, and the second Was "Oh my God" I have to do a speech. But please don't worry, this won't take too long.
I was staying with my parents in a different part of the Fairweather house. I didn’t get to see hanah or Dora until the next morning. By this time everyone was way too excited to sit down to eat breakfast. I had noticed something terribly wrong with my wedding gown. It was only a few misplaced threads, but to me it looked like much more.
"Aren't you happy for me Ally?" "Of course I am. You know I love hearing about your hoe escapades Sam," I laugh. She winks and leans against the counter, "You know I might actually keep this
Thank you all for coming. Some of you have traveled far and wide to be here today. Some of you drove and some of you even flew to all be in the same room today, all so we could celebrate the love of these two-amazing people. On behalf of the bridesmaids and myself we would like to recognize and thank Amy DeBellis, _____ and Kathy Zarwi for being such wonderful hosts!
Roger, we have been best friends since freshman year of highschool and I am truly honored to give the first toast on such momentous evening. You have come so far from that scrawny kid that couldn't manage to squeeze out even a syllable to a girl other than your mom. You have been there for me when I have needed you most and I’d like to think I’ve been there for you as well. We’ve had our rough times, I’m pretty sure we have called each other every name in the book at one point or another, and most of those names are too explicit for a family friendly wedding.
Now it’s finally your wedding day! Did you have a good dream last night?” Mom said. She was smiling but it didn’t seem she was joking. Suddenly, Sara went blank.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! It is the point in the night where some of us have to get up from our seats and make a fool of ourselves. I guess I will be the first. Tonight, I would like to celebrate my good friends and the people of the hour Mr. and Mrs. Straub.
Good evening, I have immense pride in speaking before you today and I am honoured to be giving tribute to our dear parents who have been here to guide us through all these years. I can still remember the first day of school, clinging desperately to my mother’s arm, my small fingers clutching hopelessly, fearing the unfamiliar world I was about to step into. I also remember the soothing words of encouragement and endearment that were hushed to me. The trust I had even at such a young age had me puffing out my chest and charging into that classroom with new found determination. You took care of us in every aspect; you got us out of bed and ready in the morning, cooked for us, cleaned up behind us, and disciplined us in ways that were crucial in making us who we are today.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Hope you all enjoy yourselves today! I feel honored to represent all the friends of today’s prettiest bride, Liao Yuxin, to stand here, and share something about her with you.
I hope that baby doesn’t cry throughout the whole service. Did I remember to check my veil before we left? I wonder whether everything at the reception is set up. Dammit, I can’t remember the first sentence of the vows. Panic fills her chest.
Hello Tiphani, I purchased a ticket to your millions conference but I couldn't attend. I was the one who donated my ticket to a deserving person. Thank you for helping me give someone the opportunity most people don't experience.
Four years ago today on the beach of Torquay, I met my best friend, my lover, and soul mate. ,.. and my husband from this day forward. Ash, you are the greatest, most magnificent, man I've ever known. Your inspiring, warm hearted, kind, loving and your have helped shape me to be the better version of myself that I am today.
Then, I heard everyone scream “Surprise!” I could not believe my eyes. There was decoration all over the living room, a cake on the table, music and a big bouquet of pink flowers. My eyes start tearing. I was delighted and humbled by how lucky I was to have such an amazing family. I ran up to my parents, my three brothers, and sisters in law and hugged all of them. We started singing and dancing I cannot forget those moments of my life. Then I realized time was running and that I still had to go to my cousin’s house to do my makeup. I rushed to her house leaving my family at home, so they could get ready, and we could later celebrate after the graduation. As, Sandra was putting on my makeup; I was thinking of how I was going to react when they called my name on the stage. I was smiling as I was thinking of the moment of my
