THE ART OF WORKING WITH TEAM
Teamwork is the workplace where the members work together and contribute the efforts to the growth of the team or organization. It is much more vital in the context of globalization and high competition. The solid team is essential for the sustainable development of the company. However, the issue should be adequately understood so that its effectiveness could be taken advantage appropriately. In the paper, there are the aspects analyzed and elucidated by answering these questions.
1. The understanding of the myth and reality based on the myths of Wright (Oct, 2013) is elucidated in the followings:
Myth 1: “Team are harmonious people who compromise their needs for the sake of the team”. However, it is the fact

For challenging work that needs for sophistication and technical knowledge, teamwork is essential to pledge the supports of team members for common goal. However, the simple tasks would be effective if these are individually resolved.
I take the view that, teamwork is not always beneficial to the team as the unchallenging tasks are assigned to a good team which own high morale and motivation, the bore will occur a result to constrain the progress and growth of the group. Myth 5: “Teams are easily to influence and manage”
As a team is a group of individuals with different cultures and perception, it is essential for a leader to learn and practice various management skills to lead a team efficiently.
In my opinion, leading a team needs to learn about habits and preferences or characteristics of each team member so that the leader could appropriately apply the management skillsets which are updated day by day. Human is a set of diversity in characteristic and it not easy to understanding those, which is much difficult for the leader to do.
Myth 6: “Senior manager encourage team

Among the myths discussed, I take the view that the myth 4 is the most popular notion among the organizations in the context of globalization and connecting world, people recognize that the output quality is produced by a solid team. There are several teamwork trainings, therefore, conducted to enhance the awareness of the role of teamwork and the teamwork skills among employees. It is vital in the context of challenging projects which support and collaboration among the team are essential for the success of the team. Unfortunately, sometimes it is teamwork that takes longer time of the process and constraints the project requiring solo work but teamwork to implement effectively.
In the circumstance, time for each project is much longer for “both communication and coordination overhead with everyone else on the team, and so the time to complete a project doesn't actually decrease linearly with increased staffing” (Lau, 2013). Hence, it is vital for employer to define why and where teamwork is necessary to utilize maximal power of the team. Furthermore, it is important for leader who constantly encourages and motivates the employee during solo work to keep him/her on the right
From the author’s perspective there are certain factors needed to build a strong team to overcome the obstacles the team faces. Davis, the author, thought that one of the factors necessary to build a strong team is to have a leader who can motivate the team to do their best. Another factor that the author thinks is necessary to have in the team is to have cooperation among the team
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a team as: “a number of persons associated together in work or activity,” or “a group of people who work together.” In the current information age more companies are relying on teams to solve challenging tasks and to reach more difficult goals. Since a team of professionals with varying expertise can produce solutions that an individual working alone would likely struggle with, it is no wonder teamwork is becoming increasingly valuable to companies across all industries.
“A manager manages using authority-or the right to get others to do things by virtue of their positional power. While a leader leads through the ability to influence other people to do things using a certain degree of personal power or charisma” (McLean, 2005, p. 16). By definition, leadership is about influence. Therefore, it is impossible to discuss the theme of leadership without including followers or to try to explain the idea of team building without explaining the influence of a leader. While each concept is unique, both have a direct affect on the other. A leader is not a leader without someone following him or her and a team will always develop a leader whether indirectly or directly appointed. However, leadership and team building are much like the preverbal chicken and egg; and many theories have developed over several years trying to explain the influence on each other and the successful development of teams and leaders.
“Good leaders develop ideas. Great leaders develop people. The best leaders develop new leaders”, these are the words that were quoted by one of my teachers in high school who influenced and taught me some of the essential lessons in regards with being a good and effective leader. I always remember this saying every time I am working in a group or if I am given a task to lead a team. I’ve been involved in a lot of group activities in the past wherein I’ve witnessed a lot of group relationship that inspired me as well as taught me of the do’s and don’ts when it comes to leading people and getting along with your groupmates. Based from these practical learning experiences, I believe that I still have a lot of things that I need to learn and skills
In order for a work place to be successful and beneficial to everyone involve in the company, teams needs to be form, and each team must have a goal in mind. Employees must come together to accomplish a common goal. Teamwork will not only benefit those involve in the project but it will also have a huge impact in your business.
A work team will be defined for the purposes of this paper by a definition borrowed from Bateman and Snell (2004). A team is formed of people (usually a small number) with complementary skills who trust one another and are committed to a common purpose, common performance goals, and a common approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable. Teams generally see themselves and are seen by others as a social entity, which is interdependent because of the tasks performed as members of a group.
It is well known that the team work is far better than performing a task individually. Such kind of practice plays a very important role in software engineering. A lot of things can be achieved together with the combination of diversified people, as they input different tactics and skills so that the main objective of a certain mission can be accomplished appropriately. Even though teaming up and working for a project is essential and helpful; there exist some issues that could bring interruptions and conflicts in the team.
Organizations use teamwork because it increases productivity. This concept was used in corporations as early as the 1920s, but it has become increasingly important in recent years as employ...
Skills and knowledge possessed by every member is also important for a team to become high performance. Although it is among the most important factors, however, it must be coupled with a good working relationship with every team member and good collaboration with every team member. The members who possess the good skills and wide knowledge will be a useful resource to the team if that team member can share their strengths with the other team members and vice versa. It is usually misconstrued that having skillful and intelligent team members is already enough to make a team work right. This kind of thinking is the reason why most teams, despite all of those competent members they have, fail to achieve their goals. A team should establish one common goal, not to think that way and develop a good working relationship with each member. (retrieved from: http://www.strictlysuccess.com, August 18, 2005) This can be done by self awareness exercises, like the DISC assessment and other assessments or any other kind of self awareness exercises regarding communication style differences. Then these factors and important pieces of information should be taken into full consideration before the actual project is begun. These exercise or assessments can be great ice breakers and mark the difference between a group of individuals merely assigned to a team, as opposed to functioning as...

This approach will allow the project manager to focus on the project as a whole and ensure that all tasks are being integrated
Teamwork is defined as, “the process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal.” (Business Dictionary, n.d.) Ultimately, it provides us with a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of unity amongst each other. It allows us to create healthy relationships, and bond further with our peers, and generally, it’s a necessity for our lives. Teamwork aids us with developing imperative life lessons and skills.
