Martin Luther king The person I chose who had profoundly affected me since I was in school was Martin Luther King. We learned about him in the civil rights movement. The ways he has affected me was how he stood in front of crowds of people and gave speeches of black rights even though he could have feared for his life like he did on his last speech. He also affected me to be courageous even though when he was thrown into jail, he still kept on preaching equal rights and never gave up. Also his fighting leadership against white supremacy no matter how hard his movement struggled. He has inspired me to use all these things in my daily life to become a better person and to help others around me. Martin Luther’s speeches have affected me in so many ways. He has changed so many people’s lives in many different ways. In my life, when I listen to his speech “I have a dream” I couldn’t be more moved by his ability to stand in front of the enormous crowd during the March in Washington about jobs and freedom risking his life with only one purpose, to fight for his rights. He motivated me when traveled around the country stepping up against unequal rights against black people. His leadership amongst the people who looked up to him and followed him was undeniably insane. One instance was when he gave the speech “The Three Dimensions of a Complete Life” his outstanding upcoming and how he took over the fight against civil right movement is absolutely unbelievable. In my own person life I have used this motivation to step up in school and spread the word that bullying is bad and nobody should do it. I used my advantage of having a lot of friends to easily move forward in spreading the word that bullying is a problem in our school and people listened.
