How Did Elvis Presley's Impact On Society

Elvis Presley was a huge rock and roll icon for life in the 50s. He influenced all age groups from young teens to late adults. He led the way for the music and movie industry. Contrary to the belief, Elvis was not the inventor of rock and roll. Presley became a leader in the country because of the impact his music had on everyday people and everyday life. Because of Elvis Presley’s leadership in the world of rock and roll, he changed American’s idea of modern music, revolutionized the way movies are seen, and influenced teens and adults in the 50s. Elvis Aaron Presley, often called the king, was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Growing up, Elvis had always been fond of music and dancing (New). He grew up in a small family as an only child. He was supposed to have a twin brother, but he was stillborn.

He practiced his musical talent throughout his teen years. He performed at a high school talent show and was amazed by the applause he received. He ended up taking first in the competition. He graduated from Humes High School in 1953. After he graduated, he continued to pursue his musical dream. At the age of eighteen, Elvis made his first record.
