At the age of 26-years-old little did Angela Rinaldi know she was about to meet a man who wouldn’t just change her future, but of many others as well. Rinaldi was working at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Connecticut when she met Gary. Gary was in a traumatic car accident, became paralyzed and lost his ability to speak. Throughout the next couple of months, Angela and Gary became close. Over time they both developed a common goal, to get Gary’s ability to speak back. A game of trial and error began. Gary spoke through Morse code for a while until Rinaldi developed a switch similar, to one used by the famous scientist Stephen Hawking. Rinaldi still remembers the first time Gary used her switch to speak. “Gary emailed
In the story, “A Summer Life” Gary was himself. He said that he likes the sound of the taps when he is walking. According to the book it says, “I love the sound of taps, the way little clicks make me feel grown up.” So yeah he’s being himself, he doesn’t care what other people thinks about it.

She tells him “I did that for you, how do you show up for me?” However, Gary had no idea that she felt this way because she never stood up to him and told him. The most important thing when interacting with other human beings is being able to communicate one another. People’s first mechanical way of communicating was with the invention of the telegraph, which was at first run by gas. It wasn’t until 1836, when Samuel F.B Morse, Alfred Vail, and Joseph Henry invented Morse code that our civilization had would be able to electronically communicate. Soon after, the first telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell which allowed people to vocally converse electronically from miles away. The invention of the telephone was then modified and eventually converted into a mobile cellular phone by Martin Cooper in...

As described by Haugeland, the procedure of the game is simple. Suppose that we have a person, a machine, and an interrogator. The interrogator is in a room separated from the other person and the machine. The participants in this game use teletypewriter to communicate with one another -- to avoid clues that might be offered by tone of voice, etc.The object of the game is for the interrogator to determine which of the other two is the person, and which is the machine. The interrogator knows the other person and the machine by the labels ‘X’ and ‘Y’ -- but, at least at the beginning of the game, does not know which of the other person and the machine is ‘X’ -- and at the end of the game says either ‘X is the person and Y is the machine’ or ‘X is the machine and Y is the person’.(29-30) The object of the machine is to try to cause the interrogator to mistakenly conclude that the machine is the other person; the object of the other person is to try to help the interrogator to correctly identify the machine.

This means they can’t pick anyone they want to marry, the family does. Most Latin American families want their lady to marry a wealthy man. They know that wealthy man is aggressive, so Angela or her sisters would be perfect since they are raised to deal with harsh situations. A few years later in 1971, Wozniak read an article on how some people were able to mimic a certain 2600 Hertz tone by using call-routing switches. This allowed a free, long-distance phone call. This illegal device was called a “Blue Box”. Wozniak immediately called Jobs and their enthusiasm for this interesting, unusual device evolved. The pair began to construct a digital version right away. At first, the two boys had fun pranking people with the Blue Box, but Jobs soon suggested they make a profit off of it. Jobs and Wozniak built about one hundred boxes and then sold them for around $150 each. This experience of building, marketing, and selling the boxes fores...
