An accomplishment is defined as something that has successfully been completed. Accomplishments can shape a person into who they are. Some may help make the community a better place. On top of all of that though, an accomplishment can make a person feel like they can do anything; like they have made themselves a better person by doing what they did. Personally, my accomplishments have made me feel better about myself; they have changed my outlook on life. I have been able to do things that have made me the person I am today. Through these accomplishments I have gone from a young, naïve girl, to a proud, hardworking young woman. A major milestone in my life was when I first began high school. In my opinion, starting high school had to have
A very significant milestone that occurred in my life was the purchase of my first car with my own money. I know some might think that buying a car isn’t that serious or such an achievement, but to me it was. It was important to me because not only did I work hard to save up enough money but I also payed for my car in full. Now this wasn’t easy. I had to discipline myself to not go shopping on the weekends & to only spend money when I really needed to. Knowing that no one helped me to get my car and that I no longer had to depend on anyone gave me a feeling of independence and freedom. That freedom was something that I longed to experience ever since I received my
One of the biggest accomplishments that I feel I have achieved is being a captain for my soccer team when I was in grade 9 (overseas). Back when I was in Ethiopia, soccer was one of the biggest things we loved growing up. Soccer was the only thing available as a sport in our school, so being a captain of a team was kind of a big deal. My time as a captain taught me a lot of things about what being in a position of power means.
A personal accomplishment that I am proud of is when I got all A’s throughout the school year and made the honor roll for the first time, the reason why this is an accomplishment because I never made the honor roll in any of my school years, this was major for me because I proved a lot of people who thought I could never get an A in school or even make the honor roll because of my past grade point average.
...fe and succeeding that I broke the chain in deciding to be different in standing out from my family. Even though, on my graduation day I should have been more exciting now I can see why it was the most important day of my life because on that day I should have said YES!! Made it this far. Graduating high school was my minor goal and was accomplished. The fact that my minor goal was accomplished made me realize that anything is possible. That day when I realized what graduation should have meant to me made me a better and setting high standards for myself.
Probably the most important turning point in my life happened in 1992. At this time, I was eight years old and living in Williamsport Pennsylvania. My dad had a well-paying job at Anchor Darling Valve Company, I was attending a parochial school and I thought life was just great. At the time we lived in a large four-story house with a separate three-story garage and an acre of forest for a backyard. I had a ten-speed bicycle and I would often go bicycling with my friends at the nearby cemetery. No-one ever objected to this, in fact people would often have picnics at the top of this hill at the cemetery. I guess the only things I ever complained about were the constant music lessons and practice sessions my parents subjected me to.
Achievements and accomplishments help people prepare for the future and gives them the skills they need to help serve their community. It is important for people to have accomplishments and achievements because it helps them succeed in life. My participation in Student Council, band, and making good grades are my most meaningful accomplishments and they have given me the aid I need to prepare for my future field of study and the opportunity for me to serve my community.
My biggest accomplishment in my life would had been when I received my certification as a nursing assistant. The reason being, I had failed the first time; I passed the written part, but failed the physical task part. I was depressed for months - I didn't hang out with friends, hardly ate, and I didn't even feel the need to continue trying to get my certification. Sadly, during those depressed months, I had to wait until I was able to retake the physical which also costed me another $80 (no one wants to hand out that amount of money when you are already upset failing the first time). When I first received the news I had failed it was a terrible feeling, and I felt like a complete failure. Though, after retaking my physical and passing - I felt
As a child, I grew up with a good dose of love, care, food, shelter, friends and other basic necessities of life. Forward thinking and never give up attitude of my father has been contagious and has gone a long way in shaping my persona. On the other hand, my mother’s nurturing character has instilled compassion and confidence in me. But when both parents are doctors, the additional perks that come with it are occasional guided tours of the hospital and interesting insights into the medical world. My parents have been my inspiration to choose medicine as my profession.
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
What is education? According to Webster’s Dictionary education is defined as, (noun) 1: the action or process of being educating or of being educated, 2: the field of study that deals mainly with methods of teaching and learning in schools. During my life I had some accomplishments. But, I will tell you the truth I cannot call them as my great accomplishments. At this point of my life I had the two greatest events. My first event was my high school graduation. The second event, which was the biggest and the most unforgettable was my wedding day.
My Biggest Accomplishment The biggest accomplishment that I have ever faced in my lifetime would be to overcome the artistic blocks that were forged on my mind. In just this past year I have been able to overcome them all. A year and a half ago i was only permitted to draw and paint with my ability, although that is fantastic, i was not happy. I have opened up my mind to the world.
Everyone has milestone days in his/her life that change the direction of his/her life for better or worse. Let me tell you one of my experiences that I will never forget from when I was 12 years old.
I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
