Narrative Essay One bright early summer morning Kiana and her softball team traveled to Hot Springs, Arkansas. They were making their way to Magic Springs to celebrate winning their back to school all night tournament. They could already tell it was going to be a delightful day, all the girls were so thrilled to get on the rides and spend their day at Magic Springs, until something unexpected happened. The first thing they did was go stand in line while their coach, Coach Phillip went and got their tickets. Everyone got their tickets passed around and headed on in, all together they lined up in front to take a absurd group picture. The girls partnered up together in pairs of two or threes. Kiana was in a group with Lily, Nya and Cali. The first ride they went on was The X-Coaster, everyone had been on that ride before and were really excited. After that they went on a couple more rides, and then they decided to go swimming. After they were done swimming, they all decided they were hungry. They made their way out the pool and up to the food area, as they walked into a great smelling Pizza Shop, BOOM! Doors slammed loudly behind the four girls, causing them all to scream. …show more content…
They were full with confusion but not much fear. They all got out their phones and started to try and contact their parents and coaches, none of their phones worked. After a few mins of being trapped, a man and a woman came out in all white. They had blood on their shirts, which frightened the girls. The man and woman started to walk towards the girls and so the girls back peddled, they were very shaken up at this moment. The people told them they’d hope they had a good last day. They snatched each girl up one by one and threw them in a thirty-two below freezer, they told them to sit tight and don’t move until the truck came to pick them
There is a slight glimmer of hope when the school year ends and the girls all receive their report cards. They stand eagerly in the hallway, none of them can break their gaze at the slips of paper in their teacher’s hands. Pashtana finishes 15th in her class and in this moment looks forward to a new year in the 8th grade. Unfortunately, Pashtana and her family were living off of $7 a week, a dollar to spend a day. She soon got married to her cousin and has not been back to school since their last day.
Her mascara smudged onto the fabric as a tear fell down her cheek onto the fluffy white pillow. Her headphones rested in her ear playing songs that held many memories of the recently broken up couple. The song that her and the short, blonde, and shy soccer player had slow danced to, played on her ipod. The memory of their slow dance at the valentine ball replayed in her mind as if she were still in the moment. She replayed how he asked her to the dance with a valentine gift- a box of conversation hearts. They met at the school to go to the dance and he gave her the red and yellow ticket. She was dressed in a pink and grey sweater and the gym was warm with all of the middle school students combined
Summer had just begun; we were enjoying our first few stress free weeks of summer, speaking of summer assignments we received and vacations that were going to be had. It must’ve been at least two in the afternoon since I never get up before noon during the months I have off from my education, but my best friend and I had been hanging out for a while leading up to the trip to Dunkin’ Donuts. We were just minding our own business when abruptly, my friend quivered in her seat, her eyes wide with fright.
Despite the packing boxes and the moving truck parked on her street, Riley Matthews could not accept the fact that she was moving to Austin, Texas. She had only ever known New York City as home. Her two best friends, Maya Hart and Farkle Minkus, lived and conquered the world with her since the first grade. The trio was inseparable. What would she do without them? Her mom promised her that she would make new friends in Texas, but Riley couldn’t trust that. She would be the weird new girl from a state up north. Moving to Texas would be the end of
On Sunday March 19, 2017 there was an alleged crime at Pitt River Middle School, the former Mary Hill Secondary. On the day of the crime the school janitor was in the school to supervise the sports group. Shortly after he (Mr Bradley) discovered the plaque of Terry Fox went missing, he called in for help asap. The students attending school the next few weeks were surprised very shocked to notice the missing plaque upstairs where the lockers and staff room are located. The first time I was notified by a fellow student it looked like the backing of the plaque was ripped off aggressively, markings of a shoe print and 2 finger prints. Also 2 visible screws that look like they held up the plaque, there was also shattered glass with blood on the corners. The first day back they asked the teachers to put
The idea behind the Iowa Narrative project was to bring light to an unknown narrative that was connected to Iowa City in some way. My group decided to bring light to the Black Angel statue. We knew that the legend behind this statue was know around campus and that it was a legend many people believed in. Our purpose for shinning light on this legend was to persuade people to see that the myth may not be true. I feel like we accomplished this by setting our goal, setting the mood, logos, and using induction to gain credibility.
The big yellow round sun blazed in the clear blue sky with not a cloud in sight. A steady constant stream of cars begins to enter through the small rusty gates, filling up the parking lot like a cup filling up with water along with the numerous big yellow school busses. Anxious, nervous, and excited runners were filing off the buses and wandering off to find their teammates and tents. The fans also come slowly trickling in like bees attracted to a honeycomb. A concession stand, smelling of buttery popcorn, stood off to the side bustling with life as a little green eyed, ginger colored hair girl in her mother’s arms could be seen begging pleadingly for a big bright red lollipop. The med tent mostly empty with the exception of a few runners who
-Who does not remember when Drake dropped his iconic single “Summer Sixteen” and how he started the summer with good vibes. It is actually so funny to me how almost everyone can remember summer ’16 so clearly because it was that iconic. Well at least it was for me. In my culture, every summer all Eritrean soccer teams from different countries all over the world meet in one city in the United States for a week-long tournament to prove who is the best. July 2016, it was in Oakland, California and luckily for my first year attending I had my squad of friends with me. They were Simon, Filmon, Aman, Bana, Senait, Mereb and my older sister, Mical. I have never been on vacation, the type of vacation where you leave your home state, without my parents so I had no idea what this trip
It was a hot, Thursday afternoon. So hot you could burn your hand by touching a window. So hot, you could fry an egg on the sidewalk. Three weeks from now was the best day in 2th grade, field day. Today we were picking relay teams
At exactly 6, the lady who checks in on our room brings us our dinner. So when the lady opens the door she closes and locks it from behind her so it’s locked on the inside. So as she gives us our food, Summer will distract her and hopefully the woman will leave the door open.
So they continued to go down without knowing of the trap they were getting themselves into. While they were walking they kept on hearing noises but they thought were nothing but it was actually a trap set by a killer clown. When they turned the next corner they came to a dead end but on the wall said do not turn around and look for a different way or one of you is going to die. They were
I awoke to the sun piercing through the screen of my tent while stretching my arms out wide to nudge my friend Alicia to wake up. “Finally!” I said to Alicia, the countdown is over. As I unzip the screen door and we climb out of our tent, I’m embraced with the aroma of campfire burritos that Alicia’s mom Nancy was preparing for us on her gargantuan skillet. While we wait for our breakfast to be finished, me and Alicia, as we do every morning, head to the front convenient store for our morning french vanilla cappuccino. On our walk back to the campsite we always take a short stroll along the lake shore to admire the incandescent sun as it shines over the gleaming dark blue water. This has become a tradition that we do every morning together
It all started with a call that my grandpa was in the hospital very unstable. We went to the hospital to find my grandma being tougher than ever, as always, trying to be strong for the kids. After a few days in the hospital the doctor claimed we could take grandpa home and keep him at bed rest with a hospice. It was a change nobody was ready for.
Have you ever been forced to do something with your friend that you KNOW is gonna be bad? That’s how it was for me on my camping trip with my uncle and his friends and my friend Zeek. We have been planning this trip for quite some time and this time we brought buggies so we could ride in the dunes now I have practice driven these and they’re pretty fast I don’t remember exactly how fast but the vehicle had good power. Add that with a risk taker friend and you go at dangerous and scary levels of speed though I was very cautious so maybe I was just being scared at the same time.
