Hence, the relationships that have been established are Matt’s relationship with the mayor, members of city council, and his connection to local business owners. In addition the stakeholder’s relationships that can be affected by Matt’s decision to join or decline the position with Supermart are the local citizens, the employees of Hollis Hardware, the employees of the other local businesses, and Matt’s family. The local citizens Centerville have a case as a stakeholder because they will be affected by Supermart entering the town, and they could be negative consequences that occur because Supermart’s entrance into the market. The employees of Hollis Hardware and the other local businesses will be affected by the possibility of them being laid-off thanks to Supermart taking all the local revenue that once went to these small business owners. However, the most important set of stakeholders are the members of Matt’s immediate family. Matt’s family has the most riding on his decision, and no other set of stakeholders will have as much invested in the decision as Matt’s family.
