The Ultimate Plot
After Hitler came to power in 1933, he always longed for the reign of the Nazi Party to last a thousand years. He figured that he would start with the Youth to carry on his dreams of having the Nazi Party last 1000 years. Impression of Fascism on Youth, also known as Hitler Youth, during the 1920's- 1940's,had over 8.7 million young people enrolled by late 1939. Kids were purposely sought out and indoctrinated to believe in fascism, and were trained to brutally kill. Hitler himself stated in Mein Kampf “A violently active, dominating, brutal Youth - that is what I am after. Youth must be indifferent to pain”(Spartacus). “I will have no intellectual training. Also, there were other countries that had their own forms of Hitler Youth. At first, there was only a group for boys called Hitler Youth. Under Hitler Youth was a group called Hitler Young People. The main Hitler Youth group included the ages of 14-18 years old. The subgroup of German young people were from 10-13 years old. The Hitler Youth were organized by uniforms, rank, age, and geographic area. A parallel group to the Hitler Youth for boys was the Hitler Youth for girls. This Hitler Youth for girls was called Bund Deutscher Model (League of German Girls (BDM) or the League of German Maidens. The girls’ group was not so much military training or physical training. They focused more on activities to get the girls moving and therefore keeping them fit. Their goals in keeping the girls in the League of German girls program was to teach the girls 2 things: how to take care of their bodies that they are able to birth healthy Aryan children. They were taught that the only purpose of their life was to birth aryan children that were genetically healthy and pure German. They instilled a sense of racial pride into the girls in order that they stay genetically pure German women. They detested greatly any contact with Jew or other hated minority groups. This was not the only object of the League of German Girls. They also were taught to be unconditionally faithful to national Socialism. One-third of the time spent in the League of German girls is spent learning the ideologies of Hitler and his Fascist German State. The ideological teachings and the political indoctrinations played a much larger role in the League of German women than even the boy Hitler Youth or the German Young people Group.
