Flight 93 is a 2006 film, directed by Peter Markle, which narrates the events that occurred during the United Airlines Flight 93 during the 9/11 attacks. The movie was released on April 28, 2006 on the A&E Network, and was re-broadcast several times throughout 2006. The film stars Jeffrey Nordling, Colin Glazer, Brennan Elliott, Ty Olsson, Jacqueline Ann Steuart, Laura Mennell, Barry W. Levy, Biski Gugushe, and Dominic Rains, amongst others. The film was rated PG-13 for some violence and emotional illustration of the hijacking situation. Some historical significance in the film is that, Marion R. 19 militants from al-Qaeda carried suicide attacks towards the United States. Two of the planes hit the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, making the towers to fall down. A third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania which didn’t reach its goal which was the Capitol. As a result from this tremendous attack over 3,000 people died in New York City and Washington D.C. Only six people in the World Trade Center towers at the time of their collapse survived. Almost 10,000 others were treated for injuries, many severe. At 8:45 a.m the first plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center; it was a Boeing 767. 18 minutes after the first plane hit, another Boeing 767 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. At 9:45 am Flight 77 blasted into the west side of the Pentagon military headquarters. Military members and civilians were killed in the Pentagon along with the passengers aboard the airplane. 15 minutes later the South Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. At 10:30 a.m. the North Tower collapsed, leaving over 10,000 injured civilians and more than 3,000 killed. Meanwhile, while all these events occurred a fourth airplane was hijacked. Since there were no survivors, it’s almost impossible to tell what was true from the events in the movie. As a result, the writer and director of this film, Paul Greengrass, had to improvise and use the help from families that were in contact with the passengers during this time to create a credible story. “Every witness died, and assembling together what can remember from 37 mostly unrecorded phone calls made from the plane does not provide a clear or necessarily reliable picture. The film was finished before a transcript of the cockpit voice recording was released. That means that these scenes can only be a work of imagination, and largely improvised by the cast of United 93 . Greengrass had many things right on the movie starting from the basics, for example; the date of the event , the flight name and number, the location of its departure and its destination, the amount of people, where the hijackers were planning to go, and where and when the plane crashed. One of the most important things that this film got correct was how the terrorists took control of the airplane, which includes a fake bomb, knives, and directing all passengers and crew to the back of the plane. Also, the way the passengers realized that there was no way out of the situation and decided to work together to get control
