For my paper I chose the religion Hinduism. It seemed like it has a lot of differences from Christianity, and I wanted to learn what they were. I’m going to compare Hinduism and Christianity mostly on their differences there might be some similarities. I will tell you a little about their history along with facts, and differences.
Hinduism is one of the world’s longest known religions. History of this religion can be traced back all the way to 5,000 to 10,000 BC. Hinduism has more than one billion followers. Hinduism originated from India. The place where they worship has a different name then ours. We go to church to worship where Hindus go to a temple. This is just one of the many differences between the two religions.

One being that they believe sin and evil are illusions. The second core is there is an equanimity among the Gods. Meaning that all Gods are equal because they share a common God-essence. The third core is all of existence is infused with God, and every living being has a good soul. The fourth one is time is cyclical, reincarnation is the fate for every single living thing until the person has climbed the ladder of existence. Which is called nirvana when you have reached the highest part of living. Nirvana is the fifth core belief. The sixth core is ethics are cyclical which basically is saying. What a person does in life will return to them. Simpler form what you get is what you receive. The final core is caste which translates to “level of life”. Your caste is determined by how you were in a previous existence. Where Christians our main “goal” is to love God, and obey his word. We are to create a personal relationship with Jesus and grow. Christians believe in Heaven and hell. Where Hindus don’t believe in either one they actually believe in reincarnation. Where when you die you come back as something else. It all depends on how you lived your life. If you lived a good life you will come back as something good. Where if you lived a bad life then you return as something evil.
The question of origin asks how life began. How did I come into existence? In Hinduism there isn’t a central person to who they believe they came from. Like Christians believe that God made us. This part of the religion of Hinduism. I found to be very confusing. I found it confusing because they don’t believe in one God, they believe in several different ones. In my opinion I think they believe that Bahram brought them into existence. “In the beginning God created the heavens and earth” Genesis
