Hercules labours Why he had to do the labours? Driven mad by Hera, Hercules turned violently on his six sons and wife. After recovering his sanity, Hercules deeply regretted his actions and was extremely sorry for all he had done; he was purified by the King Thespius, and then travelled to Delphi to wonder how he could atone for his actions. In Delphi the oracle Pythoness recommended him to make a home and to live at Tyrins and serve King Eurystheus for twelve years, doing whatever task or things that might beset him and he could not say no unless they were hugely ridiculous but he didn’t care he wanted to be forgiven and not feel so bad now; in return, he would be rewarded with immortality. This was priceless to him. He just needed to be forgiven of his dreadful deed by everyone. Hercules despaired at this but was overjoyed because he would be serving a who at this current time in the world be lower in status and less popular to most people to him, but he knew he had to do it, for himself and everyone he just had to get through it, yet afraid to oppose his father Zeus. Which would be an even bigger crime and would ruin his whole life and everyone .Eventually he placed himself at Eurystheus's disposal, ready to face whatever and whenever he wanted him too. He did not have a good feeling about them. Background Hercules was a hero known for his strength and courage and for his legendary adventures. But there is much more to him. He was the son of the god Zeus and a human mother Alcmene, which is a huge thing because he was supernatural to tall others around him. He was a demi-god. He was wife was called Amphitryon. Hera was jealous of the human mother and decided to try and kill Hercules by putting two poisonous snakes in his c... ... middle of paper ... ...am not sure if Hercules cheated it is more like a stretched the boundaries, or varied the rules too make it easier; which in one way is very clever but another could be cheating. The main point about him cheating was when he was close to death against the hydra and probably would have died if he didn’t have help from his cousin Iolues. Which inevitable made him complete this labour. This is the main case of cheating but it is such a low level of cheating, it is nearly not countable. Another point is when he had to go get Hippolyta’s Belt but he brought loads heroes with him to complete his mission this must be a kind of cheating because these labours where supposed to be done by only him. In conclusion, I think that Hercules did not cheat but just varied and bent the rules. But really this question is really based on self-opinion and what you believe to be cheating.
