It is said that manipulation can be done by anybody, it does not matter what age or gender. In Henrik Ibsen, “Hedda Gabbler” manipulation was a major theme. One of the main characters Hedda Gabble was the manipulator, throughout the whole play. Hedda uses he beauty and sexuality in ability to influence others to do what she want them to do. Hedda gabbler is portrayed as a modern woman striving to attain her desire of manipulation. Ibsen made his character Hedda gabbler as a manipulator which securitize the feminine role which defines a woman. During the play Hedda manipulated the people around her.
