The definition of health generally varies from person to person; for me health is the state of well-being; whether it is physical, mental or social well-being. When making health decisions many people, myself included, consider finances before making decisions. For an example before joining a gym I consider the cost and quality of the gym before considering how vital exercise is to my health. The same goes for diet I often hear people say eating health is much more expensive than eating unhealthy. Being healthy comes from putting in effort; physically, mentally, and economically. To promote my health I have made changes to my diet by incorporating more fruits and vegetables, drinking more water, and consuming fewer carbohydrates. I have also joined a fitness gym and purchased health insurance. In order to better themselves people engage in trade (cite). When considering my health choices I have traded free time for my improved health by attending a gym 4 days a week. Before recently I was uninsured for 4 years due to lack of funds. Therefore I was not attending annual check-ups nor was I seeking emergency health care when needed. Being that I could not afford insurance I participated in home remedies, consumed over the counter medications, and bypassed check-ups to prevent medical bills. Preventive care is very effective for if one make good health decisions and participate in preventative health care it will reduce or prevent her from chances of illness and diseases. Which will in return reduce or eliminate stress in relation to health, and money spent of health
